Should Rich be banned?
Do you think a webmaster like Rich should be banned for turning in webmasters to the Dept of Justice on the grounds of obscenity because he disagrees with their political views?

Maybe we should ban people like Colin who support Bush since the Bush administration is so against porn.
I vote to BAN COLIN! |

There are many political discussions here.
People who make their living from porn should be free to post their views without feeling that someone is willing to threaten their livelihood. It's a form of forced censorship of the worst kind. |

And if you've ever been to a convention, then you know that a bar is just as likely a place for adult webmasters to do business as GFY is. :winkwink: |

If Rich were any stupider, he'd be "Internet God." |

As far as conventions, I've been in the business since 1996. I've been to nearly every major convention since the Orlando conference in 1997. I expect my livelihood to be improved by GFY and not hurt by it. It has been. Much business comes from this board. |
I will be fair, I do know what you mean by the whole bar to GFY comparison... and to a point I agree... however...
this is a public forum. Sure, it's contained within a given industry, but it's still very much public. Just as much as a public place is... conversations as such are in any public venue should be completely free, under the rule of freedom of speech. However, just as what you could say can be used against you in a park or a restaurant or a bar.... it can be here as well. Freedom of speech is also freedom of foot in mouth.... which is also freedom to do what ever to the person who just made the speech. If you ban him from GFY for doing this, then every other public place of conversation would have to do the same. It has nothing to do with my opinions of anyone here or anywhere, even if it was me that someone called the DOJ on... I'd definitely hate that person, but I wouldn't expect the board to ban him. |

By the way, in answer to your query, I vote "no" because
1. I hate boards that ban people -- that's fucking gay. It's easy enough to textually sodomize gerbil stuffers like Rich. 2. It's good to have morons like Rich around to share their Bush-Hitler conspiracy theories like "Berg was beheaded by Americans not by Al Qaeda." This keeps all the moderates in check, because as soon as they start getting a left-leaning idea, they realize Rich probably has the same opinion as they do and it dawns on them that they ought to rethink their positions. 3. It's always good to know what the fringe nut position is not only for the entertainment value, but also because eventually it will pop up in a Michael Moore movie and we will already have our refutations handy. 4. The devil you know... if Rich gets banned, an even less mentally sound fucktard like perhaps "Internet God" might take over his position as dipshit-in-chief and as unlikely as you might think, he could be even less coherent than his dementor. In summation, absolutely do not ban the retard. |
Not that my opinion counts for two shits and a duck.......but I'm with Buff, very valid points. :thumbsup
should he be banned-no should he be punched in the eye-probably should he be verbally aasualted-definatly:2 cents: |
Let the man speak his mind, nothing wrong with that. If he wants to make an idiot of himself then so be it. He's not hurting anyone except himself. :2 cents:
I gotta crash nite all. |

I've been banned twice. The funny thing is it's never been because of my political views. I'd say more but I'm packing my bags. I'm going to the airport in the morning. Don't have the time. |

Rich's political views are fine. I'm saying people who are stooges for Ashhahahahaha and threatening to turn people into the DOJ for disagreeing with their political views have no business on an adult webmaster board. Rich has become what he most despises, a collaborator of Mr. John A. If he were to really follow through it would mean that anyone who holds a certain viewpoint would then have to consider not posting on certain topics because of his threats. Even as only an empty threat, it is far less than amusing. |

Banned no. A board is nothing more than a mean of communication, but I agree on what you said. If he reported a site, this action is no different than what he despites. That's what Rich should realise.

Now Joe on the other hand... he should be banned, because he smells like shit.

Buff cries when people at porn conventions smoke near his booth. Buff = Gay |

If a surfer came in here and started threatening to file complaints, he'd be banned. Bich is nothing more than a surfer pretending to be in this industry. Threatening someone else's business on a business board, should be grounds for banning. While I enjoy this stooge's posts and enjoy watching him drown in his own hate and stupidity, this board is still about business and making the childish threats Bich made, should cause his ouster. |
Rich is childish. That really is fucking pathetic.
|
Rich has proved time and time again that he has a dynamite suit in his closet and is waiting for his orders.

If Rich truly is nothing but a surfer, then sure... ban him. If he did call the DOJ on account of what someone said, then no, don't ban him. You said I was wrong and then gave a totally different reason for the banning. Shame on you, making yourself sound right by changing the topic completely again :winkwink: |
Doesn't Rich run casino sites? I don't think he has any adult sites, I could be wrong.

(if you owned a business, you would understand the problem better. it has nothing to do with free speach) |
No, it seems to me that people like Rich won't learn a dam thing until it up and bites them in the ass.
|
I'd say this is pretty much a non-issue. "I'm turning your site in to the DOJ" is right up there with:
"I'm seeing my lawyer about this tomorrow. Expect to see the papers in the mail soon." "That's it motherfucker, I've had enough of your shit. I'm kicking your ass at Internext/Webmaster Access/Mardi Gras/the Winn Dixie parking lot." "I'm shutting you down. When I'm through with you, you will NEVER do business in the adult industry again." "Okay, listen up! A group of us are getting together and filing a class action lawsuit against (insert cheating sponsor here)." If we're gonna start banning people for message board threats, it's going to get awfully lonely around here. :1orglaugh |
"You are what you eat."

Ah good one.. I love those porn peddlers defending the conservatives' ideology... and when someone threaten them with a reality check, they scream "low blow"!
So here's a guy, hardcore fan of Bush and an administration trying to pass all kind of obsenity laws... he's running an Interracial site.. and sweating bullets when Rich threaten to report him..? Thats beautiful... |

and btw.. honest question.. do you really think that Ashahahahaha is trying have interracial sites pass for obsene..? If so... do you understand the conseqences for the adult industry to keep a guy like that in power... ? Whats next? Anal? |
Quote:
son, there were people who ran into trouble with the law under clinton just because someone ratted them out to the authorities. You have no understanding of the issue. |
Quote:
If I owned a business huh? So now you're assuming things about me, truth is... you really have no idea if I do or not. Anyway, it still wouldn't make any difference. A person can call a lawyer, or the DOJ, or his mommy all he wants.... that's no cause for being banned. Everyone will see it, and know to avoid that person from then on... but that's about it. If a surfer comes here, that surfer will be banned on account of this being an adult board and surfers aren't welcome. That's an admin decision... nothing to do with the DOJ or freedom of speech. As I said, if I talked politics with you in a bar, and you called the DOJ, then I'd hardly assume the bar would kick you out and ban you from the place. Same goes for a message board. |

It's fine for people to support the lunatics making the laws that are putting our brothers in jail, but God forbid someone POINT OUT how easy it would be to put ONE OF US in jail for it under these Jesus freaks.
http://www.obscenitycrimes.org/ I make a hell of a point, as I did in that thread._These fools are hypocrites, and if they're going to vote for the type of fundamentalist government shown in the site above, then they should get what they wished for. I didn't seriously file a report against him because I'm not a rat, but it wouldn't break my heart if someone did and these "Bush pornographers" were the first ones hunted down by Asskroft's team of lawyers. Better them then someone on our side who's doing something to help, like Flint or Rick from CJ Bucks. Being a conservative is one thing. Support the regime that's trying to end our business is another, and it makes you my enemy and the enemy of everything in this business. Quote:

Americans can't have it both ways, either you want Bush or you want to keep your business. Thank you Colin, for helping me bring this website to more people's attention. Oh, and for proving that you and 12dicks are the ones ones who want me banned. :1orglaugh |
