Any Tivo users/hackers here?
 

I want a second unit but I'm not paying another $12 a month, fuck that. Anyone know how to clone the eeprom from the first onto the second or some shit? I can't switch to DTV either.

I'm a cheap ass and hack everything. Computer shit is easy to hack but even easier to get cought so I stay away but other things like phones, video games, directv are great :) I need to upgrade the hard drive on this POS anyway.

By hacked do you mean you upgraded the HD or dont have a monthly bill for it?

well, with directv you have to have a monthly bill for basic shit, but that is as far as it goes

You can't hack the normal one for free service. Just step up to the plate and buy the lifetime on it for $249.

The only hack i know of for tivo 2 is a 30sec commercial skip feature.

Tivo 2 rocks if you have 2, since you can share programs between units.

Do you mean series 2? The one that has bee around for about a year? That is what I have.
