Jakke PNG 07-10-2004 12:16 AM

zanycash Pete 07-10-2004 12:16 AM

webgurl 07-10-2004 12:18 AM

this is a serious question can your dog see cartoon dogs on tv ?
if they do or you think they do , does your dog react to it ???

Radik 07-10-2004 12:18 AM

They can't see the tv like we can see it.. More like 1/2 frame per second.

Our vision refreshes at about 60fps a dogs 100fps. So they see between the refresh rates of the screen ie big holes.

Don't know about digital panels, or plasma for that matter.

I had a pit bull that i adopted many moons ago..she was a trained hunting dog.. if she would see any kinds of pigs or hear pig noises on tv..she would try to eat the TV..

she also had a thing for soda machines too...she loved to tryto kill the vending machine when she heard the soda coming down the chute..lol

Not to sound rude, but it sounds like a new mom explaining how ingenious her newborn is when everyone else just see a drooling little shitfactory.

hehe.. but if your doggy enjoys cartoons, nothing wrong with that.

webgurl 07-10-2004 12:33 AM

I know that my dog Tatum does see dogs that are on tv all the time. She will sit with me and watch tv with me on a daily basis. she has gone up to sniff the screen as well when there are dogs on there like for instance when I turn it to Animal Planet. I really do belive that she can see them.

Yes it does, and just as annoying too! :1orglaugh

I think it varies from dog to dog and also depends on the source for the sound on the program. Sometimes a dog can be making a lot of noise on a TV show and my 2 dogs not even perk an ear, but other times a bark or 2 sends them into a tizzy. What my 2 always respond to is if there is a car horn, braking or other car noises or the beeping sound of a truck backing up... they will run out the doggie door looking for it:1orglaugh
