I'm watching this Guns n Roses Live From Tokyo Video and Axl Rose and the gang are truly fucking amazing !!!

I got drunk with slash recently at the Sunset Whiskey Marquee (Hollywood) and he told me ?Axl and I were never Friends" I said "Really?" "Never" and he replied yeah "ok yeah maybe in pictures"

I don't understand how 2 people can accomplish so much together and hate echoer at the same time. Slash told me he tried to Barry the hatchet at Axls show in Vegas but axl rose wouldn't let him come back stage. IT sounds like Axls Ego drive a Wedge between their relationships. Too bad one of the best bands ever: thumbs up

I think Axl's ego is justified. Afterall, without him - There would be no Guns n' Roses (musically). It's like Nirvana without Kurt Cobain. Axl is a talented. He made them what they are. :2 cents:

You?re absolutely right; Axl was the producer, and the director for ALL their videos and most of their live show. Axl is what made them so spectacular and theatrical.

Dizzy (keyboard player) wants to play at Internext (florida) His cover band does lates 80's early 90's covers including some GnR songs. Do you think Webmasters would enjpy that ?

I have heard that they are phenomenal. I am supposed to check out a practice oe live show in the next week or two.

Btw, why do all cool bands go to Japan? I mean they don't understand shit: neither the bands, neither the audience. It's like a deaf band (and I don't mean Defjam of Deftones), doing a show for mutes. Where's the communication?

I read yesterday that axl was abused by his step father when he was a young child and thats how he can express his anger on stage.

GNR would still be around if Axle stopped being such a premadonna (sp?) and would have stopped doing all that damn coke. It ruined his voice to the point that I cringe on the Tokyo footage.

The band is simply the best one out there.
I know a lot of people will disagree but it absolutely rocks.

One thing bothers me, it feels they are sort of outside of the whole MTV thing.

No seriously , I hate talking about it but if someone would ever ask me what has influenced my life , one of the things is GNR.

It's just plain different from other stuff out there.

I have a full VHS tape (only copy in existance) from 8-2-87 of them doing the whole appetite for destruction album live. They fuck up through the whole thing a bunch of times and start over n shit. its raw footage of the entire album before it was released. It's obvious from the tape that axel needed more time to perfect his hip swayin'.

Thinking of editing it down and making a DRM concert out of it. Anyone think there's any money to be made there?

Guns N Roses ended when they kicked out Steven Adler. I don't care what anyone says about who's a better drummer, but that is when the chemistry died. The Use Your Illision albums were an embarrassment. Izzy was the smart one to get out when the band had some dignity left. Appetite for Destruction will be always be one of my top albums of all time. I can still remember being 11 years old listening to that album. BTW, if you want a really good show of GnR get a copy of Live at the Ritz. Good stuff.

Dude I am right there with ya. It feels silly saying it cause G-n-R don't get the respect they should. But that band at that time in my life changed things for me.

Slash's snakepit was a great band.... he's a great guitarist and will be around for a very long time.
