One night at Phoenix Forum a few years ago there was a CCBill dinner on the side of a mountain. Whoever picked the music had good taste. Every other song was a Pearl Jam song. None of the faster just, just the slow stuff like Oceans, Black, Better
Man. Was an awesome desert evening. Cool breeze, great location, fine food, good friends, and Pearl Jam.

The fact that Pearl Jam pretty much stayed intact even after the Grunge thing died out and other seattle bands imploded and died off one by one really says alot about their dedication to music and their fans.

My father was a drummer, and I remember him playing downtown at some festival and singing that song (under the bridge)....One thing I will never forget.

Pearl Jam has been my favorite band since they came out, and they still rock, I've seen them every time they have come out to Las Vegas.

I thought their newer stuff was crap at first too, but it grew on me, now I really enjoy it.

Jason Fromm 07-19-2004 02:47 AM

Man, that is all good music. Thinking about all of that makes me sad that there really is no good music like that today. :(

stain 07-19-2004 02:57 AM

pearl jam = best band ever!

but not to forget some other bands/singers...

chris cornell (soundgarden)
keith caputo (LOA)
tool
stone temple pilots
....

i'm now listening to hunger strike from the temple of the dog album.
this is one of the best songs EVER!
