Lars Ulrich now realizes Napster fiasco was a fuckup

METALLICA's LARS ULRICH Says He Was Caught Off Guard By NAPSTER Issue

Yeah dude, and those fans not turned off by the Napster issue were turned off by crappy music from a band that lost it's stride years ago...

Juicy D. Links 07-18-2004 08:35 PM

Lars can eat a dick

Spunky 07-18-2004 08:36 PM

Hasbeens...still ok in concert though

smack 07-18-2004 08:38 PM

yeah lars is a whiney little whore. he seems to forget that the point of making music, is for people to hear it.

EviLSuperstaR 07-19-2004 09:31 AM

He should train more to beat Lance at the Tour de France

agreed Lars and all the other record company trolls, keep fighting the internet, instead of embracing it.. Fucking morons in suits just don't know how much freaking money they could have made...

The record companies could have made a freaking fortune off the internet, it would have also cut the costs of brining new artists into the public eye..

Zerof8 07-19-2004 09:47 AM

Yeah man he fucked up everything. i loved metallica until lars had to be such an ass. Now i just love their old music but fuck them their new shit sux anyway

It's sad that a band that got its' start from bootlegged cassettes and underground albums and always said about not caring what radio stations think or anything......

that they could do a 360 and suddenly go nuts about people downloading their music for free...

it's just sad :(

Faith No More, Guns and Roses and metallica.

All i remember is how bad ass Faith No More was and how between each song James Hetfield was whining about how his throat was sore from the night before.

whine whine whine, they sucked live, always have.

SinisterStudios 07-19-2004 10:11 AM

Metallica dies not too long after Cliff Burton Died, now they are a bunch of whinning old men that wouldnt know good music if they were hit upside the head with it. They need to hang it up or just go out and play the old stuff that made them who they are. St Shitstain needs to be shelved and they need to go back to the pre black album style to get the fans back on their side. Just my :2 cents:

I still love Metallica tho. No matter how Lars does in Tour de France :winkwink:
The old stuff is fucking great

hydro 07-19-2004 10:19 AM

its funny that some artists fight so hard for cd sales when they hardly get any of it. Down here there are some independent labels that can easilly sell 300,000 cd's at $10 a piece and they get to keep all that money instead of being pimped by the RIAA.. It only costs about $1 per cd to have it burned and then put the graphics on the cd and case.

I understand and respect everybody's opinions and all, but who the fuck wants their shit downloaded for free? Are you for real man... :1orglaugh May I download all your content that you've shot? I'm also going to send it to all my friends. That will make you a very beloved man (because of the hot content), but not very rich or successful. One day you won't be able to send me all this content though, and everybody will somehow lose.

Say what you will about the way the band dealt with Napster (they could've used some media help ;)), but the the reasoning behind fighting a service like that still stands today.

It's no different than you guys fighting for whatever you put the copyright label on. Metallica just handled things a little differently and came off as very greedy bastards. :Graucho

If you've ever seen them live you know they mostly play older songs. :thumbsup Nobody forces you buy albums mate.

I think that the music industry is responsible for this whole fiasco, when they rush out a cd with a hit single and 16 tracks of shit that they sell for $18 what do they expect. people arent stupid, they will find a way to have the songs they like even if the cd's arent worth buying i remember the days when i would call and request a song on the radio and then tape it. I agree with the metallica lookin like greedy bastards though.

I agree with everything except the 360 comment. If they did that they would be facing the same direction they started in :) Perhaps you meant 180 :)

Tala 07-19-2004 03:57 PM

I liked everything up to the black album. After that, they just out and out sucked. Whiney Prince Lars' attitude didn't help much, either.

100% with that statement .... but I would say that they lost it after "And justice for all"

The black album is great but it has nothing to do with the metal music we were use from Metallica

Babagirls 07-19-2004 04:11 PM

its funny that Lars is "i am right, and heres why...." on every issue, pushes his issue on others, then says "i was wrong"?? heh......fuckin hasbeens.

doornx 07-19-2004 04:27 PM

metallica is softrock.. slayer, pantera, sepultura (old formation) are true metal bands

...and let not forget about mortician :Graucho
