I have a problem/question

As you may have read the other day, every payperiod SexPicturesPass.com picks one affiliate that makes a signup to get their payouts bumped by $5, and Cheeky Marie won it. However, it has come to my attention that she was not even aware that we had this program going on. It makes me wonder how many of my affiliates are aware of the program.

I send out informational emails maybe once every 2 or 3 months at the most, and they are only sent to let people know about incentive programs or improvements to the system, so it is not like I am spamming them weekly, or even every month.

So, my question is this . . . what can I do to get my affiliates to read the emails? I was thinking of including some kind of contest in the email, but if no one reads it, what good would that do?

Any suggestions? What could I do to cause you to read my informational emails if I sent them to you?

there isn't really anything you can do to get people to read your newsletter.

the only thing that might work is including a contest like you suggested. but how will you inform people about the contest if no one reads the emails?

exactly . . . . and it bothers me because I have provided tools and incentives and I am betting that a very small percentage (I am sure all the winners are aware now) are aware of the incentives or are using the tools

Getting people to read Newsletters is always a problem.

We do special offers and usually release them via our mailing list first, it's crazy how many buy via my spamming the boards who are already registered and recieved the email.

There loss for not keeping up I reckon.

well, not exactly the same circumstance in this case, because whether they are aware of the contest or not, they are going to win.

I would like to get the word out about the tools I have provided for them that I have my doubts are being used as much as they should be

Perhaps have an ICQ messenger service where when you need to let people know about incentives they have to agree to add a baddog-sexpicturespass icq number to their contact list allowing you to send them out a reminder service but have it for incentives instead...

Something like some of the other boards have for special reminders for chats and shows.

include a photo of your tits - saggy baggy teabag tits preferably - and a packet of home made choc-chip cookies - it'll get them every time.:1orglaugh

I have 700+ affiliates, and so many people on my ICQ list that I have to delete someone in order to add someone new . . . not sure how I would do that

If you put a contest or something in your emails, I'd promote the contest-via-email on my stats pages.

If there's one spot your affiliates will check religiously, it's their stats on your program.

:thumbsup

I get like 6-7 newsletters from different sponsors every day. If they all expect me to take the time out of my day to read them, they're nuts. I wish they'd just stop sending them already.

The best thing to do in my opinion is do something like silvercash.com when you login to the account you have to click "ok" to their new news. Then you can do whatever it is that you logged in to do. I dont find that annoying and I can tell you first hand it is effective.

OT: I read your sig . . . .you accept AVS sites, you want to get listed here? If so, send my the URL to your submit page to [email protected] and I will get it on the list

Theo 07-19-2004 02:29 AM

i used to read the newsletters of affiliate programs, but lately they are so many so I ignore most of them.... Some of the programs mail you everytime they add 3 hosted galleries, like every 2-3 days :Graucho

A good newsletter title always helps

blazin 07-19-2004 02:45 AM

'IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT' in the subject header will usually get me to read my newsletters. Other than that I delete a good portion of them to be honest
