Why would you want to go anywhere else?

The diplomat is a huge waste of money, however, it does have advantages to stay there,

If you want to save the cash, the holiday inn is right down the street and you can stay there for 65 per night. Walking distance.

Make heels very hard to deal with though.

At the Diplomat. I stayed at the Holiday Inn down the road last year because I wanted an oceanfront room and couldn't get one at the Diplomat. Never again - that place was nasty :(

Why bother to get a room at all? Just get on a good regimen of sleep and vitamins now and stay up for 3 days straight hanging at the hotel. There's always someone awake or having a party anyway... :Graucho

I do not mind the drive...and after biz i like to get the hell out of the hotel where the show is...

The Diplomat is where it's at. I like the customer service and the bedding is awesome (sheets and pillows).

Ocean view with deck, 149 per night, you cant even stay in a shitty hotel in Los Angeles for that. Damn, then walking in the heat to get to the main hotel, no thank you. Sometimes you just have to go "first class" damn.:2 cents:

I think most people end up staying at the Diplomat. I think it's pretty reasonably priced for all it offers and it's standard rates are alsmost double Internext rates.

I'm at the Diplomat.

Last year someone messed up our booking so we didn't stay at the Diplomat. We partied all night had no more than 3 hours sleep a night, walked 20 minutes to the Diplomat, then ran our booth all day and attended parties after that. The heat didn't worry us because we are used to that. Next year we will probably stay at the Diplomat. :thumbsup
