Things you have to believe to be a Republican today.

1. Being a drug addict is a moral failing and a crime, unless you're a conservative radio host. Then it's an illness and you need our prayers for your recovery

2. The United States should get out of the United Nations, and our highest national priority is enforcing U.N. resolutions against Iraq.

3. Government should relax regulation of Big Business and Big Money but crack down on individuals who use marijuana to relieve the pain of illness.

4. "Standing Tall for America"; means firing your workers and moving their jobs to India.

5. A woman can't be trusted with decisions about her own body, but multi-national corporations can make decisions affecting all mankind without regulation.

6. Jesus loves you, and shares your hatred of homosexuals and Hillary Clinton.

7. The best way to improve military morale is to praise the troops in speeches while slashing veterans' benefits and combat pay.

8. Group sex and drug use are degenerate sins unless you someday run for governor of California as a Republican.

9. If condoms are kept out of schools, adolescents won't have sex.

10. A good way to fight terrorism is to belittle our long-time allies, then demand their cooperation and money.

11. HMOs and insurance companies have the interest of the public at heart.

12. Providing health care to all Iraqis is sound policy. Providing health care to all Americans is socialism.

13. Global warming and tobacco's link to cancer are junk science, but creationism should be taught in schools.

14. Saddam was a good guy when Reagan armed him, a bad guy when Bush's daddy made war on him, a good guy when Cheney did business with him and a bad guy when Bush needed a "we can't find Bin Laden" diversion.

15. A president lying about an extramarital affair is an impeachable offense. A president lying to enlist support for a war in which thousands die is solid defense policy.

16. Government should limit itself to the powers named in the
Constitution, which include banning gay marriages and censoring the Internet.

17. The public has a right to know about Hillary's cattle trades, but
George Bush's driving record is none of our business.

18. You support states' rights, which means Attorney General John Ashhahahahaha >can tell states what local voter initiatives they have a right to adopt.

19. What Bill Clinton did in the 1960s is of vital national interest, but what Bush did in the '80s is irrelevant.

20. Trade with Cuba is wrong because the country is communist, but trade with China and Vietnam is vital to a spirit of international harmony

Giorgio_Xo 08-05-2004 01:44 PM

I left the Republican Party in February because I can't stand the direction the party is taking. Now all it is about is Big Government, Big Religion, and Big Money.

Can you honestly stand the direction ANY party is taking?

Parties suck. Think for yourself.

I agree on one point : The USA should get the fuck out of the U.N. They aren't doing anything good there anymore .

Sadly.. I agree! It is vastly better to have all countries within the UN, but this crime family have done nothing but damage in the international community and have absolutely nada to offer.

I even think the UN should move it's HQ to a neutral country that at least represents the overall philosophy of the international community.

The US Admin does not want any UN - or any organisation which represents the international community, simply because this means a coordinated power of countries globally. Hence the "decrying" and attempting to remove UN officers and constantly obstructing proposals, while at the same time lying to the UN to get their way and phone tapping it's delegates.

The US Admin is a crime family and needs to be treated as such.

that's fine, then when some country invades you, please don't ask for our support, also refund all of the money Americans have contributed to your starving children and those feed the world programs...also plese stop buying our books, movies, music cd's and anything else we export to your third world country...

pornstar2pac 08-05-2004 03:15 PM

Old, but still so very true..

retrograde 08-05-2004 06:01 PM

I support the UN. Sure, maybe it could use some adjustments. But I really think it's important that we have an international organization to faciliate communication between countries. *shrug*

Whoa!!!

First.... get that massive "chip on the shoulder" misconception out of the way that nations want to kiss the ass of the US when there is conflict. That is NOT the case - even going back to WW2. It took long enough for the US to get off it's ass then - even when this was a "world war'. Most countries were already involved in WW2 before any for that "aid" arrived.

Second.. dump the other misconception that the US is the worlds "giver" - this is not based on any fact. The highest pro rata "givers" are actually in Europe with, think it is Denmark who contrubute around $16 per head to "my starving children". This compares with $4 from the US.

The US is not a net "giver" in any respect - it is a "taker" and "consumer" in almost every way from minerals to environment - with a consumption rate on "environment" of 25% of the worlds resources, yet only has 5% of the worlds population.

Finally.. don't be so fucking arrogant to think I come from some "third world country" and they are "grateful" for your books etc. This "third world country" does not give one fuck about your books - books were not "invented" by the US. Other nations have much more "culture" and often a history to be proud of - tho that may be rarer.

And now... an actual final... Take your stupid peabrain away from Big Mac land and give a sodding thought to this "righteous", "powerful" and "weathly" (tho debt ridden) nation and realise that kids are starving and people dying in it from lack of basic healthcare. Also... across your borders, kids are starving - yet you sit on your fat ass and care to pontificate on others about "third world countries"? You gotta be joking!

Least I "know" what the fuck is happening in areas of the world and have actually seen it - you ain't fucking qualified to discuss shit.

PS.. Excuse the "bluntness" - but I know some stuff which makes you just look an ass - at least I have helped these "starving children" in real life - and I ain't from any "third world country".

PPS.. On the UN issue... if you are actually a "specimen sample" of the US people - which I seriously doubt - ya can fuck off out of the UN.

Those are personal issues, and nobody got killed over them. They were nobodies business and SURE AS HELL had nothing to do with a land deal in Arkansas.

If you can't see the difference, I'm not surprised you're a Republican.
