Why do ppl find the need to shave?

I dont get it. I send my traffic to point A and average lets say 5k hits. I send the same traffic to point B and they count 200 hits.

WTF? Do they think I will stick around with that kind of count?

LOL

The old CPC scripts were counting like 1/5 ...

but 5k/200 seems a bit odd

If you aren't getting paid per click.. who cares what the hits say?

I hate when sponsors only count second page or join page hits.

they must be afraid to show the real ratio because their program sucks....

Pornopat 08-05-2004 03:36 PM

What about the signups?

Has little to do with "sucking" at all. Has to do with perception to the typical webmaster who doesn't wear his "business hat" at all times.

Many programs count clicks using second page and join page clicks. This totally skews the true click-to-join ratio and makes the webmaster think a site is converting at a better rate that what it really may be converting at. In order for other sponsors to compete with those low but skewed ratios, they too may need to start reporting clicks from the second and join page.
