Disable Pagefile?
 

Has anyone done this? I currently have my pagefile disabled due to a conflict with my USB2 external harddrive and everything it seems to be running really good. My question, is there anything I should consider watching due to having a disabled pagefile?

I have 1.5GB of RAM in this system so I don't think a pagefile is very useful for me. I have never seen it go above 2% anyways.

Anyone?

did you notice any increase in speed?

I honestly did... i'm guessing because the harddrive is not constantly dumping to the pagefile. I'm digging this... even when I get harddisk warnings on the external the computer will not lock up because there is no pagefile open :)

That's good and makes sense. I had it disable for a while in the past, but didnt notice an increase in performance. Most probably because that system didn't have significant amount of RAM. The thing is that I didnt have any problem or error either,so possible pagefile isn't that necessary after some RAM levels :)
