Doom3 demo? is there one

I basically want to see if my system will handle the game before buying it. Or does anyone know the recommended system specs?

Radik 08-06-2004 12:41 PM

Soon, but no.

Dirty F 08-06-2004 12:41 PM

Good point, i want to test it too before i download it from a buddy.

riosluts 08-06-2004 12:42 PM

is it going to be available for the xbox, or just the PC?

Ok, i'm using a 2.8p4 with a gig of ram.. Most importantly i'm using a gforce6900ultra that allows me to play in max detail at 1024x768, still very low rez.

If you go out and buy a new video card it will play sweet whatever cpu you have. it plays on gforce 3's so don't tell me your system can't handle it.

First 5 minutes of doom I liked it, after two hours I loved it.

Jace 08-06-2004 01:01 PM

i am almost positive that if it is getting released soon, that it will be on usenet right now, have you tried the newsgroups?

Jace 08-06-2004 01:18 PM

sure enough, just went to the newsgroups...and there it is

doom3 full version

gornyhuy 08-06-2004 01:21 PM

What kind of machine do you have? I have a GeForce Ti4200, 1gb RAM, and a 2.4Ghz processor. Doom3 runs fine at 800x600 medium quality. You may want to upgrade you motherboard firmware, one of my friends did and his frames per second almost doubled.

Vitasoy 08-06-2004 01:25 PM

Some people like to buy the original :p

TurboTrucker 08-06-2004 01:33 PM

I'm running it on AMD 1700, Radeon 9600

Works fine

Project-Shadow 08-06-2004 01:58 PM

3.2ghz - 1gb RAM - Radeon 9600.. works peachy on Ultra @ 800x600. Or high @ 1024x784 [bollocks if I can remember what it really is]

BoNgHiTtA 08-06-2004 02:00 PM

Beat the game last night, because I am just that good. The end boss kicks ass.

Newsgroup or Warez copies can't play frag mode (online). But u can play the game.

SilverTab 08-06-2004 02:00 PM

3ghz, 512Ram, Radeon 9550 256meg...running smooth at high quality 1024x768...I never ventured into ultra quality though...

thats what I though but I think the CPU matters also. If it didnt they wouldn't recommend a 3Ghz CPU to play it.
