That's true, ofcourse. But an such an early age, that still is mostly about doing what your parents want you to do. Up until puberty, they will most often just follow their parents and try to please them.
Only during puberty do the ideas that will stick with a person for the rest of his lifetime take on a more stable, unchanging form.
