Big Fish or Gangs Of New York ?
 

I am not strongly drawn to either but both were delivered today by my netflix like account (blockbuster actually). Anyone strongly reccomend one over the other?

i liked both, big fish has a pretty original story and is an all round good movie,

gangs of new york is fucking awesome, lots of violence.

Not sure about big fish, but gangs of new york was good and very long.

I really liked both, you could go either way and not be wrong...I'd give Gangs just a slight edge because Daniel Day Lewis owned the whole movie

Gang's of New York is one of the most powerful movie that Martin Scorsese has done, with such talented casts. if you are a gangsta type, don't let this movie slipped you.

Big Fish is a fantasy in the modern world story with lots of twist, you may want to pay attention to every detail.

both fall in deffent move category, i recommend that you watch both.

Without a doubt, Gangs of New York.

i will watch both eventually but it is almost 11pm so I only have time for one tonight.

I like Burton in general so I am leaning that way for tonight but I am not a huge Ewan fan. He is always a bit too smug for me for a guy who gets his dick out in just about every movie.

My husband saw and didn't like Gangs of New York but he is prone to dislike things just because the majority did like it so I don't know.

Gangs of New York was one of the best movies I've ever seen. It was absolutely brilliant. The historical flavor is wonderful, and the acting is very very good.

wow, i can't believe so many people said gang of new york. i personally found that movie to be a piece of shit, but i can't name a single scorsese movie that i don't think is a piece of shit.

big fish was a very attractive movie, good imagination, still a bit of snoozer but worth the ride i suppose.

Damn good flick

Havnt seen Big Fish but I have seen Gangs Of New York and it was fucking great. Worth every second. The only thing I hate about it is that you have to pop in the second DVD to watch it. Pissed me off the first time. I now have a 3 disc changer so it doesnt hurt as much now but still very annoying.

big fish... gangs drags too much, alot of boring scenes, big fish is cool, and a great director as well

I haven't seen Big Fish, but Gangs of New York was ok. Entertaining I guess, but SO overdone. Typical Scorcese.

Two totally different flicks, but I prefer Gangs Of New York.

Gangs of NY was awesome. Especially, as previously mentioned, "Bill The Butcher" (Lewis). One of my favorite movies for sure.

I really liked both...but i'd say go with Big Fish...if you like Burton..it's his best one in my opinion! :thumbsup

Gangs Of New York

well, this was fun...I started to watch Gangs Of New York but about 30 minutes in the dvd stopped working so I had to send it back and let them know it was broken.

So, I watched Big Fish this afternoon (it is just finishing). It wasn't the best movie I ever saw but there was nothing wrong with it either. Atleast Ewan kept his boy caged up for a change.
