Linksys routers are good... the best wireless router I have is the Airport Extreme, but I believe that has to be set up on a Mac.

If you have the money to spend get all Cisco Aironet products.

the belkin 54g version is also good, and cheaper than the netgear i think.

smit 08-07-2004 07:55 PM

i just bought the linksys g or whatever, its not the speed boost... what the hell does the speed boost do anyway?

im pretty sure you need to use their card for this feature to work properly
i just like the fact that i can ssh into my router now and configure it the way i want.

smit 08-07-2004 07:58 PM

oh word, anywyas i'm content without the speed boost... it's still fast as hell and it works flawlessly for both my mac and pc. :Graucho :Graucho

Linksys is made by cisco, so save the extra cash...

I have the 54g also. I am planning on getting an external intenna so that I can sit at the beach and have my laptop and watch the sun sets.

Linksys... stay away from D Link or NetGear

Donny 08-07-2004 10:19 PM

I have both Linksys and Netgear routers and see no difference with either one for functionality. Netgear support completely sucks ass, though. Linksys support is great!

Illicit 08-07-2004 10:24 PM

I think its been said b4 but linksys is the way to go

Mr. Mojo Risin 08-07-2004 10:28 PM

I prefer Dlink over linksys
