im helping open a restaurant on sunset blvd. in LA and 250 people responed to the job ad within 3 hours. insane.

Craigslist already sells millions of dollars in ads per year, ONLY on the job listings for 3 cities. I saw an article that esimated they could sell $100 mil a year in ads if they wanted.

one change that just happened aug. 1st is now they charge $25 per job listing. i can see that site heading more towards a revenue generating machine. the traffic is there, now it's time to exploit it is what i'm sure their philosophy is.

a guy off this board, xenigo, introduced me to craigslist only a couple weeks ago - i had heard the name for years but never taken the time to look at the site cuz i knew it was a local thing - xenigo rented his condo off there. so i looked around the site, it's great. once again, like Google, the Hun, no fancy graphics or confusing interfaces - it means nothing to people, content and ease of use, the information and service you provide, means everything.

That's funny - cause I introduced Xenigo to it :1orglaugh

Now - you need to keep this going by introducing someone you know to it :winkwink:

NOTHING beats word of mouth advertising. ask some of the people who have famous porn sites how many 'free' signups they get a day. it's lots.
