i start to talk then listen, listen, listen....

I go both ways.. sometimes I am a great listener... but sometimes I find myself going nuts to butt in and give my point of view or part of a story..if I didnt, I feel like I would never get a chance to speak.

I'm the best listener. Or so my friends tell me.

I talk and talk and talk. when someone tries to get a word in edgewise, I cut them off and continue talking like they aren't even there.
Only when I feel all puffed up in displaying more knowledge of everything do I even take a breath.

I have friends like this.. and I have learned to just shut up and listen.. it is pointless to butt in because they dont hear you over their jabbering anyways lol

I can honestly say here that I tend to listen, not interrupt, and then talk. I expect the same courtesy though, as it drives me quite mental to talk to someone who is constantly cutting me off in mid-sentence.

I always listen and then talk. :)

If it's with people I don't know or casual acquaintances, I introduce myself and inquire about them instead of telling them what I'm all about.

Then I let them go off. If what they're talking about is interesting, I'll continue to inquire, which gives them a feeling of self-importance.

It's a great way to get to know people.

I'm a listener myself.. although I am prone to interrupting people that yammer on and on without a pause.

It all depends on who I'm talking to I guess.
