I dont send significant amounts of traffic to ARS sites anymore for my opinion to have any real relevance on my their performance so I'm asking you all...
I've noticed that at their message boards there have been quite a few posts about people saying how HORRIBLY their conversions have been this past week or so...
People posting stats like:

So what I want to know is how are you guys all doing with ARS recently, honestly? I'm going to make a big push to lots of free sites and I need a big, established, and reliable sponsor with lots of paysites in lots of niches and I want to know if I can count on ARS to make me $$$ (plus I like the rewards system http://bbs.gofuckyourself.com/board/smile.gif ).
Comments/opinions/whatever?

By the way, I'm not trying to question the integrity of ARS AT ALL or to start any sort of pissing/bashing match! I think at ARS they are great, honest people and they have always been there to help me with any special requests that I have had. I'm simply trying to get more info so I can maximize my revenue!

My ARS ratio's vary between 1:190 and 1:5000 a week, usually 1:400 which is pretty good front page raw, compared to many other partnership type programs which count only second page unique.

Last week i was 0:3000 =/ but i believe my stats will level themselves out. I promote ARS on alot of my freesites and I think they are a nice sponsor. They pay on time and are pretty straight. http://bbs.gofuckyourself.com/board/wink.gif This might just be the ditch we have to crawl through till mid summer on conversions. Hopefully it'll all even out.

I remember some comments i have read about half a year ago....If your sponsor converts 1:1000+ with tgp traffic perhaps it's time to change!

I don't actively promote ARS anymore, but I have seen conversions go up and down in major swings, however my traffic to them has remained the same....strange?

My ratio is 1:750. I'm only promoting two sites, amateur university and all petite. Especially the last one converts well for me.

I'm about 1:250 with them at this point, at least that's what the stats are telling me...but almost all traffic I send them is very targeted...

The fact that conversions are so bad, I believe, is because ARS are completely 100% honest and not shaving stats to make things look impressive.

For example, I have only promoted Pink Choclate on ONE gallery, and that was six months ago. I still get over 150 clicks per month to Pink Chocolate from that gallery (not including traffic from exit consoles on other ars sites), that 150 clicks per month is more than any other old gallery that I've built for any other sponsor, including both iTeens per signup and Fetish Cash per signup (which are my two best sponsors (even though those dumb fucks at TopCash closed my per click a/c))

Wizzo, you are having exactly the same type of thing with them I am. 1 week I will convert 1:200 with them, and the next week with the same type and quanity of traffic(sometimes a little more or less traffic) And the next week it will be 1:2000.

I do find it strange how the conversions swing so bad. I can say a couple of things they have going for them that I love. A LOT of different niches and they ALWAYS pay on time.

I only promote sites where I can log in to see my stats right at the credit card processor, like my stats at IBILL or CCBill

I used to promote them and noticed up and down ratios. They were very slow to pay; their database was screwed up. I don't recommend them at all.

in your experience does Gold Cash's Gay sites convert better than ARS's gay sites?

I am getting sick of ARS, I can't handle their strange swings in stats. My first account I convert at 1:160, my second account is more like 1:500 and my 3rd account is usually at 1:2800. And it's all from the same traffic sources? Go figure.

hm, try conversioncash they confert 1 in 20-30 on avs traffic for me, so i guess tgp would be around 200 - 300 ?

Ok, how in the HELL do you people get ratios of under 1:700 or under 1:1500????!! I have yet to come close to that type of ratio and the majority of my traffic is from SE, Link List and Toplist. That looks like a pretty good site and targetted advertising with your ARS ads... Your ratios are really that bad with it? How much traffic are you pushing to your site, it looks larger than your typical free site, maybe you have some stale traffic / bookmarks and need some banner rotation?
I hope link lists traffic doesn't convert too poorly with ARS....

Thanks Kush, the portal page gets around 1k+ a day and each of the small freesites listed on the portal also have their own traffic. Its mostly Link List traffic. =/

My experience with ARS is that conversion is very cyclical...two weeks low, two weeks regular, two weeks high, then back to low again. When my conversion ratio dips down, I change ARS links and use new text. ARS is a great sponsor and has a huge stable of sites to fit most surfers' tastes.

by the way, I noticed a thread over at Porncity's BBS about ARS as well... seems like I wasn't the only one worried :/

Think its almost time to change sponsors...so far for the month i'm 0:7000 and its not TGP Traffic....SIGH WTF.

ARS has a great full page ad of sexcounter in their members area.Sexcounter pays 4c/unique click.So don't wait, drop ARS banners and put counters instead!

I see so much pissing on ARS board about conversions it really annoys me, theres nothing useful on that board, just complainers who probably send 10 hits a day and don't know why they don't have 10 signups ... ok... done rant. My conversions with ALL My programs fluctuate. I check overall, over a month, a year, or some longer time period in order to find out if the program is worth sticking with. That said, my overall conversion ratio with them since I started with them is 1:253 thats 18 months worth of stats. This includes 1:131 with anal passions, 1:189 with chix with dix (yum yum!) 1:123 with elder erotica, 1:269 expecting sex and 1:88 with sinful hardcore. Don't know if that was directed toward me jeanette, but i've sent PLENTY of traffic to ARS and my conversions are less than stellar. My best week was 1:1200 with 6 signups. I would like to think that it is my fault and that I'm not selling the sponsor correctly, but my job is to send the traffic TO the sponsor. With a single freesite listing I am able to send an average of 60-80% of the traffic to the sponsor. That means that I'm doing my job...I'm talking the site up enough without false statements to get that surfer to click and go further. Maybe I'm wrong here....maybe I'm missing something...I would surely love to have ratios of 1:300. If I had those ratios right now with my current traffic, I would be able to quit my job and begin webmastering full time...EASILY. i normally average a signup a day with ARS but i havent had one since wednesday. i dunno why but they are a very up and down sponsor at times

everyone is promoting them
ibill and their billing
not working as hard as you used to
surfers with limp dicks

these are all factors. you may have earned 140$ per day for the past 8 months with ars but you can't expect consistency in this biz, even after that amount of time.

that wasn't directed at anyone just my thoughts. if you are unhappy with ars then change sponsors there is no point in losing money even if it is only for a few days.
