beemk 08-29-2004 03:22 AM

so they are saying viewing porn is adultry? give me a break.

alexg 08-29-2004 03:22 AM

I always told everyone not to believe a word coming from CNN

Taboo 08-29-2004 03:24 AM

actually blaming ONLINE DATING...

Manowar 08-29-2004 03:25 AM

bullshit, porn keeps families together :warning

adultentertainment 08-29-2004 03:32 AM

i'd love to see how they can prove that with any real numbers.

and not just some guy who got caught cheating passing the buck...but a real psychological link...no chance in hell.

sounds like CNN is trying to hold viewers attention by saying cool words like "porn". they should just start cnncash and get on with it.

Taboo 08-29-2004 03:34 AM

its "CNN Presents: Infidelity"... very interesting. cheating is in our genes.

I wished I owned that company "Spector Pro", they were getting heavily promoted to help ppl catch cheating spouses. I'm glad they have an affiliate program.

said that divorce attys say online (adult) dating is leading cause of divorce. at least 2/3...

Corona 08-29-2004 03:36 AM

I'm waiting for them to report that porn kills.

I wonder if that domain is available?

adultentertainment 08-29-2004 03:38 AM

online dating wouldn't be the cause...

why are they at an online dating site in the first place?

answer that, and you get one step closer to the cause

Corona 08-29-2004 03:40 AM

It's like that 20/20 shit yesterday.

A nerd with religous isues has a hard time talking to girls so it's the internet porns fault.

Or the guy with the 400lb wife who wanted to look at hot chicks. Must be the internets fault.

spherex 08-29-2004 03:50 AM

Guns kill people as well :sleep

still, they're saying that even happy marriages are vulnerable to infidelity. and they sure found a way to blame adult personals/online dating, etc. kept showing some site called "Married But Looking"... or something like that... and profiled a wife who suspected her husband of cyber-cheating so she installed keylogger, tracked him and set up phony dating/email account to entrap him. then took it all to lawyer and now she's on cnn to save others. :)

Men's dicks cause cheating and men's dicks are attracted to porn.

goBigtime 08-29-2004 03:59 AM

There is a call-in clip on air america..... something to the effect of....

"if the religious nutcases are so concerned with same-sex marriages desecrating marriage as instructed by the king of kings... why aren't they also up in arms about the REALITY TV SHOWS that do the same.

Sarah_Jayne 08-29-2004 04:00 AM

yeah because no one ever cheated before the internet

Cheating has and will always happen

Here is why you hear more about it today

A) there is something called TV and 10000 gossip newspapers ready to report any cheating activity, making it look like its an epidemic

B) EASIER TO CATCH A CHEATER back in the days before cell phone and emails all communications was thru pay phones and one on one, now in many divorce court cases guess what they present email and cell phone records.

Not many people can be with the same pussy for years and years

I have a close friend who I know doesnt cheat and at one point told me that his wife lets him watch porn while having sex and he can think about those women at the time, he claims it helped him stay faithful to her.

So yeah the 400lb blonde in the 20/20 commercial needs to find a local gym (by the way anyone else notice her husband was like skinny)

Sex sell but porn KILLS!

Cassie 08-29-2004 06:28 AM

and here i thought chat rooms (ie, aol and the like) were the reasons adultery would be committed. two people fantasizing about how life could be and acting on that fantasy.

funny how blame gets shifted to an industry rather then to the person who commits this act.

Trixie 08-29-2004 09:13 AM

I wonder when one of the top "news" shows or networks will run this story:

BREAKING NEWS!!
TELEVISION "NEWS" LEADING CAUSE OF IGNORANCE AND MISINFORMATION.
The number one cause of Americans being misinformed or NOT informed on important issues is an unlikely source: television "news". Studies show, in fact, that the "news" is actually full of anecdotal stories designed to feed viewers' emotional needs rather than give them unbiased, well-rounded information with journalistic integrity.

The gross failure of television "news" to provide anything of substance has serious consequences for the American people; they think that THE INTERNET and more specifically, internet porn and dating sites, are bigger threats to their safety and well-being than having a complete fucking moron in the white house and an administration hell bent on destroying the constitution.

Experts also say that television viewers lack the critical thinking skills to recognize propaganda when they see it and detect faulty logic when it's presented by television news reporters who the PUBLIC perceives as being fair and trustworthy. 90% of television viewers fail to identify television news shows seek ratings and advertiser approval, and will tell any crock of shit story to keep viewers tuned into the boob tube.

C_U_Next_Tuesday 08-29-2004 09:19 AM

why does everyone like to put the blame on everything but their own self.. cheating is the decision that the individual makes to fuck around on their significant other...why blame it on something else..fucking weak ass people never want to take the blame for their own actions...ugh

Apollo 08-29-2004 09:23 AM

As Chris Rock so elegantly said

"A man is only as faithful as his options"

xxxdesign-net 08-29-2004 11:50 AM

People need to take responsibility for their own fucking actions... Arent good looking women the #1 reason for adultery? Yeah.. lets ban makeup, hair dressers, exercise and nice clothes...

Actually a pretty old story. They aired a televised version of this several months back.

While Porn isn't the CAUSE of adultery, online dating, I wouldn't doubt has helped to increase it. It simply makes it easier to find other people, even from within your own home instead of the bar or elsewhere.

It's not porn or the dating site's responsibility for the actions of its users.

Lubing us up?? Planting seeds to justify some pending actions?? Coincidence??

Great question I think.

The story on CNN said there was a "happy ending" dont leave that out. The happy ending was the woman left her evil man and met someone new on a DATING SITE. Hellooooo..
