I am going to by one in the coming weeks whats the best one

Canon's XL2 looks pretty badass.

Sony has a new HD (High Definition) 3 CCD model coming out shortly.

Until then the Sony VX2100 is the one to buy.

I've been holding out for the new Sony (HD 3CCD). Early in the year the word was that it was scheduled for release this fall but I heaven't heard much more than that.

Go for the Canon XL2, Sony ain't that good and their prices are normally much higher because of their well known brandname. :2 cents:

For the price of a sony product you normally get better things from other brands for a lower price.You pay lots of money just for the brand name.The Canon XL2 is the best in it's price sector atm.Simon from Simon Scans is using it too, If you like his vids go for it.

i currently have the sony vx2100 and i like it alot... for the price, it's probly the best.

do not get an xl1 or xl1-s.

if you need a good colors go with pro 2/3" CCD cameras like Sony DSR 570, 590

We use the new DSR-PD170P Sony.

We shoot all of our video content for web, DvD and Television so we need broadcast quality.

Of course, everybody is gonna tell you the camera they own ïs "the best".

All of the cameras mentioned are in the same class.

The new Sony HD cam is still at least 6 months from being shipped.

The XL2 has not even shipped but should be available at the end of September.

The Sony VX2100 is an excellent choice. Billions and billions of dollars have been made off of porn shot with this camera.
This is the cam to get if you don't know what the f*ck you are doing because it is so great on full-auto mode.
Most porn shooters are too stupid to light the scene so the Sony is great because it is the king of low light. Also the image stabilization is great for shooting hand held.
The Sony is the one to get for shooting gonzo type porn.

Panasonic DVX100A is the cam I own. It has a better picture than the sony but is not so great on full auto mode. This is the cam to get if you really want to tweak the picutre and have more pro control. You can also shoot in progressive mode which I think lools so much better than regular video. I only shoot in progressive now and can't imagine going back to "the look"of the other cams. The new XL2 should look similar or even better.
