The Best Sportscar/Sedan For The Winter Time?

So I am going to be replacing my Audi S4 soon with a new ride and I am having the hardest damn time deciding on what kind of car I should replace it with? We get snow in this part of the country from around Mid-december until around beginning-mid March so I need something practical for year round use.

I love the new Audi RS6 (but not really available much in Canada), the BMW M5 is awesome but rear wheel drive and not available until next spring here. I'm looking at the SL500's but they are totally unpractical here in my part of Canada for the winter time. The Porsche AWD's might be an idea, but the closest porsche dealership is an hour drive away.

I love the Range Rover HSE's but we already have a BMW X5 and don't see the point of having 2 SUV's.

Help me out here mofos, I need some suggestions here!!! :helpme

Isn't that pretty much the same thing as the Audi A8? Just a more dressed down model?

From what I can gather, the Phaeton is the more pimped out of the two. Lots of high end features not found in any other car.

Quiet's Porsche must be good in the snow, the guy live's in Whistler. ;)

What about a hummer :)

jawanda 08-31-2004 08:28 PM

Checkout the Subaru WRX.

Subaru makes the best damn snow cars in the world ... which is weird since most of Japan doesn't get snow ... but anyway, I have outrallied friends in trucks/suv's several times ... and the WRX is sporty and fun as hell to drive year round.

:thumbsup

I would not waste the money on a hummer.

VW have a nice SUV, but you are not looking for that, so go with a BMW.

Why do Americans love cars so much?
I still drive my old toyota because to me 50k is another investment I can buy that makes me money rather than cost me money. I could buy a 50k car but will it drive to me to the shops any better. Point A to point B is all it needs to do really.
Maybe I dont get the big toy thing.

I'd have to agree with you on this one. A WRX would definitely be a good choice, and an excellent deal at around 22k. Plus, if you really want a car with some more balls (since I see you drive an S4) you could always look into the STi. Basically a WRX on steroids, for about 8k more.

Here's a link to Subaru's Canadian website for ya: http://www.subaru.ca/

I could'nt decide on the black or that darker Silver. Silver would be nice so the tires stand out.....but there was only one in stock so I had to go with black !

It is a tits ride..... you gotta see it in person. Looks mean as hell, but luxurious at the same time.

Looks like a pimpin' ride, although I wouldn't have too much faith in a cadillac, on snow covered roads...
And he wants it for a canadian Winter - can't imagine a convertible being too practical there! haha

RightHandMan 08-31-2004 11:23 PM

The porche Cayenne....

400hp SUV and gets 20MPG

His is a lot more loaded than mine. His has a DVD player and air conditioned seats !

The Turbos are even more impressive - 450hp/460ft lbs of torque. 0-60 in 5.6 seconds and a top speed of 165. On an SUV...incredible.

sixone 08-31-2004 11:28 PM

G35x <---- Handles like a dream for its price range. Getting a new face lift in 05' to look more like the coupe.
