What Do You Think The Worse Way To Go Is? [discuss]

i personally think drowning is #1 and burning is a close second. something about drowning just seems so painful to me. you cannot breath at all, and its a slow process, you force yourself to hold in your breath and eventually your body just cant take the twisting churn in your stomach and just takes a breath in, all the water rushes into your lungs causing a great deal of pain in your chest and you slowly fade into darkness with no oxygen.

i dono, i can hold my breath a pretty long time, when i go for a long time it tends to hurt and i can feel myself choking, it just seems to me that it has to be one of the worse feelings in the world if i couldnt have that option of commin up for air...

...choking has to be up there too

so what do you think the worse way to go is?
discuss..

eaten alive by a bear or some shit like that would suck pretty bad too...

MattO 09-03-2004 11:53 AM

Peeling back of the skin to expose nerve endings, then applying heat to those nerve ends, all done by a doctor who knows how to take you completely apart without killing you till the last moment when nothing is left but your head.

freeadultcontent 09-03-2004 11:54 AM

Exposure to cold.

Alltopnotch 09-03-2004 11:54 AM

/\ thats a lil unrealistic though...

eroswebmaster 09-03-2004 11:54 AM

Drowning seems like a horrible way to go, but some have described it as you go into almost a euphoric state...I personally would think burning.

My brother lived through his house fire and was in a coma for months...to see his body swollen like it was lying in the burn unit at Parkland Hospital in Dallas was just the worst thing I've ever seen up close and in person.

jade_dragon 09-03-2004 11:54 AM

I am going to say being eaten by a Cheetah since they usually start eating the entrails of the animal and it is still alive most of the time, second I would say is burning because that is some intense pain while you are alive.

sherie 09-03-2004 11:55 AM

Fire or shark!

Evil1 09-03-2004 11:56 AM

i used to think fire until i saw a movie of those fucking muslims impaling someone thru the asshole in the middle of a town, now im going with the asshole impalement death.

zdwebber 09-03-2004 11:56 AM

I'd have to say drowning would be the worst way to go.

Alltopnotch 09-03-2004 11:57 AM

i dont think drowning is as bad as everyone thinks...it's over pretty quick...

... i can hold my breath for near 2mins.

if my car went over a bridge or whatever way i coudl get into a no way out drowning situation, i wouldnt call that quick.. i would hold my breath for around 2.5 mins until i can stand it no more and finally take in that lungful of water... not a plesent feeling... especially knowing im going to die, and have all that time to think about it..

the perfect death is in your sleep. you just die, no thinking about it or anything, its as if nothing happen.. even though its like nothing happen after your dead anyways, but still.. i dont want it to hurt, and i dont wanan know its happening

Nismo 09-03-2004 12:16 PM

I almost drownd when I was about 13 and believe me it is horrifying! It's also mentally exhausting not knowing if you are going to survive. It may be only minutes but feels like and eternity!

Manowar 09-03-2004 12:40 PM

gotta be drowing, that or strangulation

Spunky 09-03-2004 12:42 PM

Getting my head sliced off by some Russian that and being burned alive :(

CDSmith 09-03-2004 12:52 PM

I would rather drown than burn. With drowning, once you're done struggling it's pretty much over, whereas burning means you are cooking...... you pass rare, then medium rare, then medium.... you don't die until you hit medium-well. The pain, the utter agony of a bad burn is incredible.... I can only imagine what the extreme pain of being burned alive would be like.

Freezing to death is actually the BEST way to go. Once you get cold enough, you actually go numb and you eventually feel very sleepy and, amazingly enough... warm. Soon you can't resist falling asleep, and then it's all over. No suffocating, no struggling, no pain.

The pain of freezing only comes if you are saved and they thaw you out. Then it hurts like a bitchy bitch.

Slowly over 3 years from cancer. :(

Its a tough one. Either my wife nagging me to death or being on the phone forever with my mom.

Drowning cerates a narcotic effect in your brain - Those who survived near drowning often talk of it being quite a pleasant feeling once they filled their lungs with water.

Burning must be the worst because you have a load of time alive with so much pain - But there are many painful ways to go -

Dying is a fear I live with - I just don't want to be around when it happens

Tempest 09-03-2004 03:09 PM

I fear drowning. Yet I love swimming and want to take up scuba diving. Weird huh.

It is the getting to be cold enough that would suck.

With fire/burning your lungs singe fast and you just stop breathing.

Drowning = Quick, painless, a few seconds of being aware that you are about to die

Burning = Extreme pain, a lot of time to think about your death, suffering

Personally, I remember there was a story about a Saint who the Romans killed. I can't remember which one, but he said to his torturers "I am well done on one side, you need to flip me over" or something along those lines. He was slow-roasted on a pyre until he died.

Slow-roasted.

That is torture.

Something like from the Spanish Inquisition. Ever heard of "the pear"? Check it out on the rotten library.
