Hurricane Frances in Ft. lauderdale, FL (pics)
 

I am in Ft. Lauderdale, FL and I went out this Am and went swimming in an almost ghost town. It is now 6pm and the winds are picking up so I took my ass in doors!! Man, I hope this hurricane takes a hard right and loses steam out over the atlantic. It's calm right now with occasional heavy gust of winds and rain. I will post some more pics later but here are some of the strip that is mostly packed at 10pm.

Ahh man, seeing all these pictures of FLL makes me all nostalgic. I wanna go back after the storm is gone. I was actually gonna book a trip this week to go there for a small vacation but this storm screwed that up. Every time I want to go to Florida, a hurricane comes by.

Its turned into pretty much a non-event for south florida so far. Just a couple outer bands that were no stronger than a usual thunderstorm.

Man I love Miami soooo much but with Hurricanes and shit its not nice. I used to wanna move there!

Gonna stick it out only cuz my place is built tough and I have a few friends over to ride that pony with me. Playing lots of madden 2005 for now!

It has slowed down to 5 miles per hour. They are saying it may be a tropical storm by the time it hits Florida. WoW, it is the size of Texas!!!

Dude, that's cool. I've been at Disney World since mid-week and it is dead. Best time I've had in the parks. I highly recommend it as a pricey (Old Key West - Vacation Club, but elegant way to cower in fear.

I even have high speed access from the room. I'm going to keep pinging the home machine until it blows away while eating room service.

We have 40 mile an hour winds right now.., and the storm refuses to move.
