Were you a good student in high school?
I guess half of GFY are still in high school... to this half: are you good students?
To the other half, were you good students? if so, do you feel it was worth it and you profit from it today? if not, do you regret it? |
Yes I believe so :(
whats a high school ?
I was decent, nothing special
I was a very good student in high school.
except for one little thing, use 2 get in a little bit of trouble, grade wise made A's sometimes got a B or 2 |

do you feel it was unneccesary? or were you one of the geeks and got beaten up every day or got your money stolen? |

No, not really. I was always late, and never did the homework.
Yes, whenever I wasn't suspended or kicked out of class.

I am unsure at this point, but will let you know :winkwink: No I have never been "beaten up" or had my cash stolen. Actually, I am always suprised when I here "ya my son had this bully take his Pokamon today". I've never seen someone having their "lunch money" ebing stolen nor being "beaten up" because they were a nerd. |
Actually I change my mind.
I vote "completely average". 65-80% in all/most courses. |
I got kicked out of highschool.
Hell no.
I was no the person I am today, to put it mildly. |

do you think it's just a myth? :Graucho |

23rd in my class out of 780
funny thing is I came to this country without knowing any English and finished high school in the top 20. I was on the honor list all four years of high school. Either high school is easy in the U.S. or American kids are really stupid.
no
I was ALWAYS top of my class in primary school
in highschool, first 3 years, I was top of my class last 2 years, I didnt do shit all and passed with flying colors (my grades didnt tell the teachers I was a genius though) and now in college, I just don't give a shit :1orglaugh |
I don't remember High School :uhoh
I was terrible in high school. I got away with a lot because I was funny and nice to people (including the staff) but I had a months-long backlog of detentions and so on, I never studied or did my homework, I should've failed high school, without question, but I went to an expensive school where they weren't willing to let me ruin their reputation with a failure! :winkwink:
I have a small issue with authority... LOL. |
I was a shitty student and would be today also I have a bad attention span...

Somehow, I find that easy to believe. |
never studied, never did homework, got a partial scholarship to college based on ACT scores and GPA
I was quite good at high school, but was a fucking pain in the back for every authority there, damn they all hated me... we fucked their prestige real hard the last day at school and there was nothing they could do, that felt good
guess a catholic school wasn't for me hehe then dropped college three times (three different careers), now working behind a pc, yeah... good money, but sucks |
i was one of the worst students in school
i wish i ws decent.. but i'm just a mortal man so i was just decent hehehe
I wasn't that swift in HS. But, I doubt that has anything to do with the fact I have a Ph.d in Behavioral Science today. HS just gave me the much needed "diploma."
Do people still go to high school?
High School was for smoking pot and banging cheerleaders:thumbsup
(and hot teachers occasionally!) |
i was popular in highschool...top of the class, student council, awards and those stuff.....
good support for a college endeavor..... but doesn't necessarily make you the most successful.... it's the balance of good wits, good people skills, character and wise strategies :Graucho :Graucho :Graucho i would have enjoyed highschool more if i didnt take it too seriously :1orglaugh :1orglaugh :1orglaugh |

HAHAHAHAHAHHAHAAHAHAHAAHA ROFL |
Depends on what you mean.
I pissed off a lot of teachers because i would not pay attention to them but still do well on tests, I would talk over them in class but still be able to repeat what they said back to them. I would rest in class because I was up all night looking for exploits and playing around with trojan infected computers and port scanners, but I would repeat what a teacher said after telling her I was not asleep. I would tell teachers they were wrong if they were, I told them that their methodology was flawwed and to some I plain out said that they were inferior to people who made money doing what they could only teach. GPA = GOOD Classroom behavior "BAD" My mom was real active in PTA and we were friends with the vice principle, my gpa, smile and wit got me out of lots of trouble, like the time we made bb guns out of hair rollers and balloons...... I miss highschool. I was in a lot of AP classes with "rich kids" so we thought we could get away with anything. |
I didnt attend class most of the time or do homework, just showed up for tests.
GPA= bad |
I was doing good 1-2-3 ... but really got desinstered after that ... I was kinda a bum
nope... was a jock/stoner... thank god for sci-fi philosophy class...
Was kind of hard to get some work done with all the gang bullshit going on. I was a good student though.
I was good in English and History, but really really bad in Math and Chemistry. I think I was pretty smart because I even had some Advanced Placement classes and scored good on my AP exams. Somehow I fucked up majorly and dropped out like 2 months before senior graduation. I had serious issues back then and I coudn't make it through.
Yes, in fact I was an honor student when I graduated in high school. I was a scholar back in college!
Straight A, SAT: 1590. Was it worth it? Not really, as I didn't feel like spending another decade studying to become a doctor.
Yes, i was..... kinda
I was always in the top 3 of my class with everything
I was too busy getting high to be a good student . . . and yeah, I kind of regret not learning to be a good student until after I graduated
Rite now i am a freshmen in college. In highschool i was FUCKING bad. Got in to shit load of trobble, and got kicked out because me and my friends got cought with pot ... well some how i got my GED and am in college now.
Hope college goes well. :1orglaugh |
I did ok in highschool but I held A's during college.
I was the nightmare of my teachers because I was capable of never doing homework and then pulling out an A on the finals for the subjects I liked. The problem with me was that when I didn't like a subject I didn't really try which pissed my mother off no end.
I was the only person in the history of my school to ever been in advanced placement history and english AND remedial math at the same time. It wasn't that I needed remidal math. I did okay but I HATED it and I was already accepted into university and I figured out that I would still graduate with whatever math credit so I dropped normal math and went down just so I could spend my day doing long division rather than having to think about math. I loved history , journalism (I made them create levels 3 and 4 of that class), geography and anything to do with English or lit so I did well in those. I have always been a workaholic at something I like doing but I find it near impossible to have a set daily routine of getting up the same time, getting the bus, having lunch at the exact same minute, etc. That is why I wan't good at a commute and why I was born to sit in a room writing (or building porn sites) I think I was the poster child in the staff room for 'doesn't live up to potential'. I hated the damn town and I wanted nothing more than to get far away. Amazing that I am in London, eh? The best part was calling the school last year to get my transcripts for something and informing the guidance office receptionist (who STILL knew who I was 5 years on) that I was about to attend my graduation for my double major, double honours degrees. I had some good teachers, my mother and my sister are teachers so I respect the profession a great deal. Some of the teachers at that school shaped my mind and my life in a way I can never repay but frankly some of them did me a hell of a lot of mental damage and it is best I don't see them again as an adult when they can't say or do the things they did at the time without me being able to respond. Hint to future teachers: When a 16 year old girl comes to you to say she was late because of a problem at home you don't tell her you can't be bothered to talk. |
