Do you think of 9/11 as just another day?

For the last couple years (and thus coming Saturday) do you think of 9/11 as just another day or almost like a Holiday os some sorts?

I think of 9/11 being a day of infamy just as President referred to the attack on Perl Harbor as being a day of infamy...and the beginning of the Global War on "terrorism". A war that will last for decades.

Do you do anything special or different on 9/11?

No more than recall and contemplate the event.

reynold 09-09-2004 12:32 AM

Love Brokers 09-09-2004 12:38 AM

Why am I supposed to give a shit about 3000 dead Americans?

Do they give a shit about the 10,000+ of civilian dead in Iraq?

Of course not.

Stop crying about 9/11.

Agreed!! They only make a huge deal because "but they're Americans, its different!"

Arrogance pure and simple :2 cents:

In any case, my opinion is the American government are behind it, so I definately have no sympathy.

9/11 is just another day. who cares

robfantasy 09-09-2004 05:19 AM

i remember 9/11/01 like it was yesterday

lawked 09-09-2004 05:25 AM

Where the fuck is the plane wreckage at the Pentagon?

GOP planned 9/11, watch 9-11 In Plane Sight.

How did they "pull" wtc 7?
Where is the plane wreckage at the pentagon?

Too much bullshit.

I don't care for 9/11 anymore, at one point I did.. but now that the US uses 9/11 as a reason to attack other countries and steal the oil.. and milk the tax payer.. put more debt load on the middle class ... and numerous other things.. fucking right I think of 9/11 as another day. Any "new money" players that vote republicans are wanna-be's.

Bush uses 9/11 to further the police state. Remove your fucking shoes before you get on the flight or else.

Fuck Bush, Fuck the GOP and fuck everyone that votes republican *this year*. Hey, another republican candidate.. ok .. but this one, no fucking way.

30 out of 35 countries going for Kerry.. :)

alexg 09-09-2004 05:26 AM

of course it doesn't feel like a normal day...

I think I will always remember what 9/11 stands for and feel different on this day..

I also will always remember 9/11/01 and where I have been when it happened and what I did

Sarah_Jayne 09-09-2004 05:31 AM

I'm an American living abroad so for the past few 9/11's I have made a point of keeping my head down and staying home just incase someone wanted to have fun with an American. This year is the first year since that I will be going out on Sept, 11. I am going to a Gary Numan gig with my bf and then renting a hotel room and having a lot of sex afterwards. If I am going to go out I am going to go out doing what I love :) .lol

chase 09-09-2004 05:39 AM

My daughter was born on 9-11-01. She was born on "a day of infamy" and came home in a tropical storm, lol.
We were on our way to the hospital when we heard about the first plane, and we were in the lobby when the second hit. For three days I nursed my newborn watching CNN and wondering what kind of a life I had brought her into.
Now that I've had 3 years to get to know her, I realize that Osama OR Saddam wouldn't stand a chance against her, lmao!:1orglaugh :1orglaugh Anyone who's had a spirited, willful 3yo daughter knows exactly what I mean!

Gary Numan! Now that should be a gig to remember, you'll have to give us all the details afterwards:thumbsup

As far as 9/11 we'll stop hearing so much about it after the election.:glugglug

Goatse 09-09-2004 03:26 PM

It's my ex-girlfriend's birthday. It's also the day a bully was kicked in the teeth and whined incessantly, as if he had no clue why the world had had enough.

BlueFly 09-09-2004 03:28 PM

I do nothing out of the ordinary. It is a sad day, and will always be a sad day. Life must go on.

MandyBlake 09-09-2004 03:35 PM

Well obviously most people here in the USA are going to think of what happened but for myself its no more than I think of it everytime someone mentions the numbers 9/11.
9/11 this year however I'm thinking about the webmaster networking get together here in Atlanta.

Ignorance. Pure and simple.

Lucy 09-09-2004 03:42 PM

I am never gonna take this day like just another day. It will always remind me the horrible day of big tragedy, of many people who died and their families. That day was sitting in the living room , switched on TV and saw the fucking news showing what's happened. Was crying like little girl for all that people and praying for them. It will always stay in my mind......
God bless them and their families:(
