with email and instant messengers.... international calls should be obsolete.

u can't do real biz or deal with important issues iming.

If the issue can't be handled over im/email, why don't you just call them yourself?

Hmm, why do you need to make international calls? Almost everyone I call internationally has an accent, or doesn't speak english that well, and lets face it, my spanish and french isn't good either. Meanwhile over the computer, I can use babelfish to try to translate most of what they are saying. But, I don't really mind making the calls as long as it is productive. Most of the time it isn't though.
