As far as irrational fears, I don't know why, but I'm most afraid of fuckin' cockroaches (esp. the oversized flying Palmetto bugs we have here in FL) :(
But on the other hand, I'm not in the least afraid of spiders and used to keep a bunch of snakes as pets...

Cats - They are adorable, but I will not sleep in a room with them. You just never know what they are thinking. I heard a story when I was little, how a cat scratched out....never mind....cats for sure

Yea they are cute and playful. I tried the whole kitten thing, and it just wouldn't stop crying, plus NewBreed was allergic...whoops!!! :)

Yea that's the other story I was thinking about, just the thought of it though makes me not trust them. Plus to be completely honest, when I did have a kitten it shit all over the wall :(

Aggressive dogs

I guess sharks. I enjoy the water and especially the ocean. The thought of me not even knowing a shark is there and then being bitten in half a moment later kind of gets to me.

I don't like wild spiders or snakes.

Not if you feed them just after getting out of the shower, as I once did with my cats:

- Wearing just a bathrobe, I crouched down to put food in their bowl.
- Cat discovered new dangly toy to play with.
- Wife laughed herself stupid at sight of husband with cat hanging from testicles...

Roaches and bugs in general terrify and sicken me. I'm truly afraid of dogs, though. I have nightmares of dogs attacking me and ripping to shreads. :helpme

Good question, I have always been able to keep them for at least 6 months. My first one got struck my lightning and the second lived on it's back for a few months. Maybe I shouldn't stick with those either :1orglaugh :helpme

Everytime I walk in the street and I someone with a pitbull, always fucking scared that crap will jump on my neck.

Hmm if I were in the ocean it would be sharks, if I were where alligators are it would be those. However...in normal every day life it would be roaches or waterbugs. I have NIGHTMARES about waterbugs if I see one.

I don't think that's a wives tale. I've read that what is meant by that is the cat smothering a crying baby (by trying to feed it milk) the baby ends up dying cause it cant breath.

And it should be dogs in general not just Rotts or Pitts. My Rotts are sweet guys. Anyone with a fear of Rotts would get over it if they met my fellas.

I just put the most commonly mentioned animals that people are afraid of - I don't think most people think of grizzly bears and get the chills. The choices I offered are animals that you actually get the creeps from as well as possibly being scared for your life. Like one of the most dangerous animals in the world is a hippo but most people don't have a fear of hippos. :1orglaugh
