I can't figure out this damn camera . . .
Okay, I picked up this Kodak CX7300. I can take pictures just fine . . . but can't figure out the deal when trying to upload them to my pc.
THe camera has 16MB internal memory, and allows you to add memory cards as well. I took a couple pics using the internal memory, installed their EasyShare software, and was able to transfer those pics to my pc with no problem. Great. Well, then I added a 64MB memory card to it, took a few more pics, but I can't get in to transfer them to my pc. If I follow the instructions (plug in USB to pc and camera, then turn on camera) it goes thru the motions of acting like it is copying the contents to my pc, but damn if I can find them, or get the EasyShare to be of any help. I have seen a few people say they have this camera (or similar), so what do you do? Do I need one of those docking attachments? Thanks in advance for any assistance. |
try to ask the company or the store where you bought that camera and then ask for thier assistance:)

Maybe I will uninstall the software and start over . . . . but that did give me another idea . . . |
You could always spend 10 bucks on a CF card reader.. plugs into your USB port and appears as another HD.

BD all i got out of your manual was if you cant find the storage location to make new location

I was just thinking about when I installed the software last night. For some reason (coincidence I hope) after I installed the EasyShare software, my nic card was no longer recognized. I spent the next 3 hours figuring out what was wrong and taking care of that, and after I fixed it, the EasyShare no longer worked. I wonder if there is some device conflict? |

That is why I was asking if I needed to get one of their camera docks |
Looks like a visit to CompUSA will take care of my problems . . . thanks for ideas

my new desktop and laptop have car readers built into them so i jus plug in my memory cards and boom a window pops up asking me if i want to open the folder to view the pics of what. :glugglug

send it back, seems like a waste of time.

can you see the camera as a drive letter in windoz explorer?
camera might have to be in a certain mode and turned on ofcourse. if you have to use their software it probably places the photos in Program Files somewhere in the Eazy Share program files sub folder. |

CompUSA is right around the corner, I will see if they have a card reader like the one I use for my Olympus memory card |
if you're running windows xp, try uninstalling easy share. then plug the usb from the camera in. it should appear as a drive in My computer after that. you can then copy the picts off that way.
