If you want a real flashlight get a Streamlight 20XP. This is what cops carry. And yep you get whacked with one of these and you're going down.

NYC FD uses Streamlight.

LAPD uses Streamlight.

I've tried both and Streamlight is the better of the two and used by the majority of law enforcement agencies in the US.

I had the 20X and the 35X. The 35X is the best for beatings, but its so long its a bit bulky to carry.

A Croation dude named Anthony Maglica, started that company. (MagLite)He had a big divorce trial and it aired on Court TV about 10 or more years ago.

.... there was mucho hell raised here recently when a suspect was subdued by police and one officer was videotaped striking the suspect repeatedly with a 4 D Cell Flashlight.


I personally like headlamps... you know like miners or cave climbers use... you shine where you look and both hands are free... great for workin in dark or hunting, fishing, outdoors etc...
I bought a gazillion of them at BigLots for Xmas gifts last year... and somehow ended up without one... :1orglaugh
