Now that you have money, do you act different?

I remember 10 years ago when I was in the construction business. I was "always" pissed. I was barely making my rent and there was always some sort of money problems.I was a walking time bomb.

Now that I have money I think and act alot different. I have much more confidence and things dont upset me as easily. Some beg to differ. Like my x girlfriend who I was going out with when my income went up alot. She said that all the money turned me into a cocky asshole.

Mike Okitch 10-11-2004 09:24 PM

I was an asshole and still am an asshole

Fraggy 10-11-2004 09:31 PM

I havent change much. A bit more confident, and less easily upset, but that could be my meds too :)

I still make myself pick up change that find on the sidewalk. I never want to think that I dont need that dime or that penny. There may come a day when I NEED it, and wish I had it. You never know...

Intrigue 10-11-2004 09:36 PM

what is this money you speak of? :helpme

Rob 10-11-2004 09:42 PM

I'm still broke. I'm forced to vote for Kerry just because I need the free underwear and ramen noodles. :(

Got any tips for a newbie?

Pete-KT 10-11-2004 09:43 PM

rich people arn't assholes - they're essentric

Paul Markham 10-11-2004 09:49 PM

From the age of 14 when I was washing cars I've always had money, except for going bankrupt in 1977.

I've always enjoyed the good things in life and having the money to buy them gives me confidence.

I am arrogant about my achievements, as small as they are, but not my money.

Money just gives you freedom to do things.

pood 10-11-2004 09:57 PM

Steen2 10-11-2004 10:01 PM

I deal with stress and drama a bit better than years ago..

KRL 10-11-2004 10:06 PM

Keep things simple. That is the secret to peace of mind.

Congrads! Yeah I remember the first time I started averaging $3k a week with ARS. I was skipping down the street and singing in the shower! It is a great feeling.
Yeah I hear DamageX has a waiting list backed up till February next year. Id just build the tgp your self and then hand it over to him to top it off when he is avail.

yeah, I might do that, I've got a site done, just never grown it.

I got on the list this weekend.

They are hiring some people though, I hope that makes things go a little faster

next up though, is when I do get more money, I've got to give a good explanation to my parents what I do...I don't think they'll be very happy

I'll probably need some side mainstream projects, I'll just say those sites are pulling in all the doh.

BradM 10-11-2004 10:17 PM

Ask detoxed ;)

xxxdesign-net 10-11-2004 10:18 PM

the best days of my entire life were during my university years. starving student, broke as shit. at first having a lot of money was fun, then it became a burden, now it's somewhere in between. i agree with KRL in always working to keep it simple.

Yep some of the funnest times in my life were when I was just scratching by making a living and working in downtown T.O. :)

College was a lot of fun too! All I can say is thank god for pre-paid meal plans! LOL!

well having a money to some will increase thier confidence, remember that money can't buy all things...

Mr Pheer 10-11-2004 10:46 PM

I used to be a nice guy, now there arent very many people that I'd give the time of day to.

But its not from money, its from greedy people. You make money, everybody suddenly wants to be your friend then they want something. But when its your turn to ask a favor, they turn thier back. Fuck people.

SpikeHeel 10-11-2004 10:54 PM

maybe money give you so much confidence that you tend to change a lot, but you see in some way, it will help you to your daily expenses. ..:)

SO TRUE. When im in Florida everyone seems to be around when im hosting hotel parties on the beach, paying for booze and such. Not once has any of those people called me to ask how things are going on a weekday. I dont cater to fucking freeloading trash anymore. As you said, fuck people.

SleazyDream 10-11-2004 10:57 PM

i'm having as much fun now as in college - money helped to do that for me

I used to be alot meaner when I was living paycheck to paycheck 6 years ago. It didn't take alot to piss me off at all. I feel more relaxed now.

Yes, definitely get some mainstream sites as a cover. Porn does not go over that well with most folks.
