No kidding. How can they not support Bush...it is Bush's actions in the "war on terrorism." that have given Putin "credibility" in tightening down on his people yet again.

VeriSexy 10-18-2004 06:08 PM

No shit. A couple of dynastic fat cats scratching each other's backs at the expense of global population.

The Bush presidency is the excuse Putin is using to reverse all the democratic advancements and revert back to facism. (undoing a generation of struggle) These are both similar personalities representing an old world dogma of state power overriding personal liberty. Both equally dangerous to the populations they govern; examples of the type of personality who should never be given control of a military.

Putin loves Bush, with Bush he has a person who he supports in words, not deeds. Where is the Russian contingent in Iraq?

With Bush Putin looks good to Europe, thats why he is endorsing the Kyoto protocol.

Bush makes Putin look good.

President Putin made it clear Russia remained opposed to the war in Iraq. "Today, our views on that differ from the views of President Bush," he said.

of course he endorses, any chance to watch USA fall into a 3rd world country under Bush so he can take over.... ya go for it ... open the doors for Russia to laugh at USA as Bush drives them into another depression and fucks up the world, then Putin can come out there hero !!

Both countries can support each other in the fight against terrorism. Is that so bad? Probably NOT.

Russia has a long ways to go to match our refined democratic institutions and freedoms. Our US democracy is the oldest and most successful in the world, coming up on 230 years.

Russia is still in infancy, still in the "Terrible Twos," to draw an analogy to human development. You don't go from Soviet dictatorship to democracy overnight, or without some bumps in the road.

It is great to finally see our two countries working together; this is so much better than anihilating each other 100X over with hydrogen bombs.

That makes me feel better - not

You are such a sheep. A two party monopoly with no real choice seems democratic to you? I envy you..

dictators usually like eachother...

and the sheep usually can't tell the difference...

It doesn't really count as a true democracy until ALL people get the vote.

When it comes to universal suffrage, i.e. including female and non-white right to votes, the United States lags several countries..
