Paypal and there shit!

Heres my :2 cents: about paypal!

A while back i forgot my password for my account with them, didnt put real answers for the password recovery questions so now im screwed. I have contacted them over 10 times about the issue. I sent a fax with the details required to the password recovery department (fax is a pain in the ass). 30 minutes after the fax was sent i get an email saying i cant touch my money for 6 months, like WTF!!

So i let it go for a while, and recently they send me an email saying to login n check my quaterly statement, so i email them saying i cant login cause they wont give me my password.

Heres the email;
Quote:

customer subject: Problems Logging In; Receive Password by Mail; Can you
send me my password by email?
customer message: Additional Information: 'Hey

Well this has been a painfull effot. I go through hours of talking to you
guys, then i send a fax with all the details required so i can get access
to my account. I get basicly an instand email from that department saying i
cant access my money for 6 months. So i ask if they can put a block on the
account because people keep paying into it. All i want is access to my account or a cheuqe mailed to me and the account closed. I dont know the answers to the questions on password recovery. If someone can help me with this it would be appreciated because at the moment your support is very
poor with an important matter like this. Also i just got sent an email
saying to check my quaterly balance but i cant login to the account!!

Well if you could get back to me with what you can do that would be great.

Thanks
Then i get a reply saying to login to my account and send the email requesting my password to be sent via email. Now why would you ask for your password if you knew it?

So i take there support survey and say how disapointed i am then i get a email saying there crediting my transaction fees for today! Like thats going to help.

So in conclusion:
1. Use real password recovery questions
2. Dont expect any support because there staff are very stupid
3. And just dont use paypal MoneyBookers seems like the way to go these days.

Thanks
Michael

I had a password problem several years ago. Mine was resolved with one phone call.

Oh, and don't feel too special about your transaction fees being credited. They're crediting all transaction fees for 10/28 to all business/premier accounts to make up for their site fuckups a couple weeks ago. Sorry bud.

doh :( hehe what did you say for them to fix it?

I've had nothing but problems w/ Paypal. :( I will no longer do business w/ them.

Well my situation was a little different. I had originally opened a PayPal account for a friend so she could buy her bf an Xmas gift. She didn't have a checking account or some shit so she couldn't open one. I paid for it with PayPal & she gave me the cash for it.

Months later I decided to actually start using it for myself. Only problem was I had let her fill out the password and recovery Q's and had no clue wtf it was and neither did she. When I called them, they had me put her on the phone to verify my story and they reset it. 5 minutes later I was in.

Must have steped up the security now because i called and they said to send this fax with my identification. So i did and got that 6 month waiting shit. No reason for it.
