Discussion: AreTerrorists Supporting Kerry?
 

WASHINGTON (CNN) -- After a technical analysis, the CIA cannot determine whether a videotape obtained by ABC News in Pakistan featuring a man claiming to be affiliated with al Qaeda is authentic, a U.S. intelligence official said Thursday.

Portions of the 75-minute tape were aired Thursday evening by ABC News, which said it obtained the tape from a source known to have Taliban and al Qaeda contacts in the tribal regions of Pakistan.

ABC said it paid the source $500 in transportation fees.

All I hear from those who support Bush is that this new tape must mean that terrorists support Kerry once again twisting the truth to their favor that their leader is to be feared and we have the terrorists on the run.

Yet I dont think this has anything to do with terrorists supporting Kerry, its a stretch to make that assumption. What they are saying simply is that Bush himself is so idiotic on how he handles foreign policy that he has made USA shunned by the world as he offers his own style of dictatorship -, the "anybody but Bush" clause would be in effect here.

Terrorists dont fear Bush, so lets not go onto the topic that hes the only one who can stand up to them - that would give the impression that he is a military leader like Patton - Bush is feared, but not as a military genious, instead he is feared for being in a position where his mistakes and judgements affect all of us and hes proven many times that he simply cant make those judgement calls.

Imagine all of us in a bus, and someone put the only 8 year old in the drivers seat - we'd be screaming as much as the crazy muslim guy beside us - "get the kid out of the drivers seat and back with his parents" - "anybody but him!!"

Thats what the tape is really saying - they arent in support of Kerry at all, they dont hate democracy instead the ethical and moral standards they feel we have all sunk too. Terrorists will still hate the west, but never before has it been run by an 8 year old before !!!

This tape is a classic Karl Rove wag the dog. It will in the end prove to be manufactured to help BUsh by creating fear. Rove has done this type of thing for many campaigns.

Terrorists want Bush, he has been their greatest asset alienating the world, making Iraq a killing field, making the US a hated country in all of the Muslim world. The last thing they want is Kerry a consensus builder.

very good point, I was going under the idea that the tape was real - but that does hold true if it is fake
