Only 17% of 18-29 year olds voted. Same as with Bush/Gore.

Once again, the people who can make the biggest difference sit around on their lazy, apathetic asses and do nothing.

Same turn out as the last election. Un-fucken-believable.

It really shocks you? I guess free underwear isn't enough to motivate a politically uninterested youth.

Where did you get this figure? If its true the irony is that age group is most at risk for the draft.

It honestly does. I know the "youth" vote is always hard to get, but with record voting numbers this year I am absolutely dumbfounded that the 18-29 yo group stayed the same. I just don't get it.

Even more ironic, they're the group that bitches the most and think they know better than others because they're "college educated".

TimeStamp 11-02-2004 08:54 PM

hhahah fuck p diddy and is gay ass vote or die shit

CamChicks 11-02-2004 08:54 PM

I thought it was 10% last election and 17% this election?
That would be a 70% increase. (but still poor overall)

They just reported it on NBC (on TV). It was hot off the presses.

I'm trying to find a link now but I'm hoping they're wrong. I still can't believe it.

It's easy to fire up a room full of 18 year olds and get them excited. Getting them individually to take the effort to go and vote is another matter. I'm nor suprised at all.

But it's not just 18 year old kids. It's people 18-29 years old. That's what's sad. And this group does bitch and complain a lot.

Brian Williams reported it. He claimed the numbers were exactly the same. I'm still in shock. I've been listening for it again but they've cut to my local news for a few minutes. If someone can find a link, post it.

Same generation. They grew up having their asses wiped for them. But were they happy with the wiping? Of course not, mommy used generic when she should have used Charmin.

Well there was a much higher turnout than that but the bad news is that only the republican votes are going to be counted...:Graucho
