Code Blue
here we go again?
http://www.wired.com/news/technology...?tw=wn20010907 ------------------ clicks.rawsexvideo.com |
It targets Outlook users and sends flood data for an hour each day. Stupid fuckin' virus coders.... you'd think they could code up something a little more creative than that.

I'm more than convinced that the real people behind these fucking viruses are the anti-virus software companies themselves. Think about it....
You're an advanced programmer You're approached by someone that says his company will pay you a cool million to write a virus and launch it. Okay, you have morals and say no, so they up the price to 3 million. Now you go for it. The anti-virus companies rake in millions from sales of frantic users that have "learned their lesson and want to protect their systems from future harm" Am I out to lunch? I think not. And before you say "hey CD, YOU use Norton, don't you?" -- the answer is yes, but only because they threw it in for free when I bought my puter. <font face="Verdana">___________ CD http://members.home.net/cyberdogs/An...cool_shine.gif * <a href="http://www5.smutserver.com/babes/nudes/erotica/" TARGET="_blank"><font color="#FFDDFF"> Nightmares & Other Sex Fantasies</font></a> Original quality erotica & dark fantasy stories * <a href="http://members.home.net/cyberdogs/Anti-Censorship%20Site/" TARGET="_blank"><font color="#FFFFDD"> Sites Against Censorship</font></a> Support something worthwhile, support your future! * <a href="http://www.erasercash.com/wm.html?ID=1380291" TARGET="_blank"><font face="Verdana" color="#FFCCCC">ERASERCASH!</font></a> Earn $35 per sale + webmaster referrals 4 LEVELS DEEP</font> |
i agree with CD
|
I agree with ya CD, and used to hold that theory dear to my heart, but this Code Rainbow colored shit that's been out there recently targets free web server software which then can be security patched for free also. There really aren't many old school viruses that can even function on new Windows, let alone Win2k Pro. I think it's more along the lines of some programmer (for Microsoft maybe since it's their software getting hit?) got fired or pissed off. Or it's a bunch of kids that gain status points and belt notches for each system that can bring down.
Just my guess. |
My reason for saying that? I used to collect computer viruses. I have a collection of about 10,000 right now and none of them work on new operating systems. I did get a few to work on Win98, but the most they did was flip the screen. (with the one exception of Monkey-B Virus.... that one is pure evil.) The code used to write them is old, outdated, and was hacked into place when they wrote it.
I use no antivirus software on any of my systems. |
