Before you step up because someone is trying to take away 'are' way of living you might want to consider doing 2 things first..

1) Learn how to use proper grammer, punctuation and spelling.

2) Get rid of all the webmasters who 'our' doing this for beer money and free, drugs, sex, etc, etc.

As an industry, the adult internet will never be take seriously until we start being serious ourselves :2 cents:

Unfortunately, it is only going to get a lot worse before it gets any better however, the good thing is, when it does get a lot worse, those of us that are only in this for the short term will quit.

Lee

It's a good idea.

Benefits:

1) Pooling resources for lobbying purposes

2) Local branches for local webmaster support, seminars, and localized consciousness raising re First Amendment issues

3) Distribution network of resources for grassroots action

I would suggest the following:

Setup a nonprofit organization (tax free)

Partner up with the Electronic Frontier Foundation (lobbying group for First Amendment issues)

Setup differing segment organizations--mainstream webmasters, etc.

Create 50 differing websites --each responsive to webmasters residing in differing states reflecting legal realities on the ground in the states they are actually in.

hasn't this been attempted... and failed?

evildick 11-04-2004 11:48 PM

How could they possibly work out the union dues when webmasters vary so much in income?

unions are for lazy blue collar socialists

FlyingIguana 11-04-2004 11:56 PM

start an outsourcing company and then try to unionize adult entertainment workers in the states. if it works your outsourcing company could have a ton of new clients.
