To all MARRIED PEOPLE

How often does the word "DIVORCE" come up in your marriage?

Just curious how often married people throw that word out there in arguments and stuff.

i don't think it has ever come up

So just thinking it doesn't count, right? lol

When we were younger we used to threaten it. Not at all anymore.

Yeah I would think it's probably a really bad thing to start throwing out casually in arguments when it's not really what you want, because it would keep reminding both of you that the marriage COULD be dissolved if either of you really wanted it to be.

Yep. def not something to be thrown around lightly. besides when you really do want one, they won't believe you anymore.

I think we have an unspoken agreement that it is never used in an argument. We have in the past used 'well, maybe I should leave' but not the D word. I don't think I could look at things the same if was there inbetween us.

Never. And I thank God every day for my wife. She is the best on the planet.
