Did today's verdict give you faith in the justice system again?

Honestly, it did me. I was really surprised Peterson was convicted.

After the OJ fiasco, I had major doubts about the American justice system.

I feel a little better about it today. Perhaps a high priced lawyer can't buy your freedom.

Then again, he wasn't a famous face before this happened either.

BIGTYMER 11-12-2004 04:04 PM

Nothings changed in my mind. But it was nice to see a guilty verdict and not another O.J. running free.

Actually, I'd forgotten about that one.

Yeah, that'll probably be more of a guage...if it ever GETS to trial.

THERE WAS NO EVIDENCE! That gives you faith in the justice system? How the fuck do you know if he did it or not? For all you know an innocent man is facing the death penalty.

I'll grant you that I didn't have access to the evidence because I wasn't in the courtroom. Were you?

How do YOU know there was no evidence?

It gives me faith that a high priced lawyer doesn't automatically buy your freedom.

How do I know? They dont know how she was killed. They dont know where she was killed.

From an article: "prosecutors had no eyewitnesses, no weapon, not even a cause of death."

Well gee it must be him, after all he did marry her.

Doctor Dre 11-12-2004 04:28 PM

Who cares

detoxed 11-12-2004 04:29 PM

Peterson's lawyers also offered evidence that the fetus may have died days or weeks after the disappearance, when Scott was being watched closely by the police and the media.

Semi-Retired-Dave 11-12-2004 04:35 PM

YES

ronaldo 11-12-2004 04:42 PM

detoxed, let me say this. 12 jurors who saw ALL the evidence convicted him.

Neither one of us can argue this intelligently because neither one of us sat on the jury and saw ALL the evidence.

I'm not gonna spew out evidence, because it'd only be a portion of what the jury saw.

Presumably you saw the same evidence I saw...through the mainstream media. Nothing more.

Based solely on that, you think he was innocent. Based solely on that I think he was guilty.

Because I believe, based solely on the media's evidence, that he was guilty, yes, it makes me have some sort of faith in the American justice system again.

AlienQ - BANNED FOR LIFE 11-12-2004 04:45 PM

If anything it proved the Justice system is broken.

12 Jurer's?

More like 36 or somthing because this has gone to trial more than once.

pornguy 11-12-2004 04:46 PM

It is nice to see that he was found guilty, but nothing will give me faith in the justice system ever again.

I agree. who the fuck cares if he killed them/her or not.

The real question is why is everyone so concerned about it? Don't they have something to do like work or fix their husband dinner or something.

Put the remote control down and step away from the microwave. Your starting to glow in the dark.

Is that so? If so, why did they pull out two Jurors this past week? But yet found it okay to replace him with someone who had business connections Scott Peterson? Something about his brother bought a resturant or something?

RocHard, you heard the same thing I did...from the media. I don't know what when on behind chamber doors.

Were there mistakes made, like the one you mentioned? Perhaps.

But again, I'm not a lawyer and not gonna argue why neither the prosecution OR defense objected to this guy.

On a side note, I'd LIKE to have someone I know on the jury if I was on trial for murdering my wife of 14 years, because she'd had an affair with our neighbor, who had a bigger cock than I did, and she chose to rub my face in.... (wait, end rant for fear of future incrimination)
