The FTSE was up so hopefully that might rub off. Though the people I heard talking said that we were on a down before this happened too so we shouldn't be too alarmed. Dunno..I wish I had enough money to go buy some stuff.

We don't have a lot of money.
What we do have is a joint account that we pay our stock broker $50.00 a month for the buying of mutual funds.
Today, we upped the amount. In this way, we will contribute to the stock market.

Most stock brokers have programs which can be opened for as little as $25.00/month.

If you have children, open a small account for them. $25.00 a month isn't very much money and it will help.

It was suggested on another board..that, if we all bought just five shares of stock, we can turn the stock market around.

I'm not as concerned as these doomsday reporters. I really believe that we will be fine; but, initially, we need to give the US a boost.

I also heard that the US will be selling war bonds again. They are not expensive. Although the yield isn't very high, they are absolutely safe.
