Half Life 2 - Just bought the game and can't even play
 

GOD DAMN Steam bullshit..

I have to create an account to play and the server is not responding..

I understand that's going to stop the illegal copies but looks like they were not prepared with the traffic..

Just played it - took an absolute age to authenticate and unlock game

my hacked version seems to work fine =x

yeah it's one of it's drawbacks but cool game.

Yeah, I was gonna make a thread about that fucking Steam shit. I had problems trying to register, but I kept trying and I got it. The authentication where it unlocked the game files took FOREVER.

I have had to stop playing now, my eyes are starting to bother me. I'm not used to playing or using my 21inch monitor lately. Damn game is fun and there are some hard spots early in the game.

was playing around 1am last night, awesome game

they're currently using 10.4 gigabit according to their status page - crazy!

I've had it preloaded on my box for a few weeks now. Been trying to make the purchase thru Steam all day now. Can't seem to get it to work.

Gonna head out and pick up a copy tonight.

I unlocked it this morning with no problems, hanv't had a chance to play yet though due to the fact that i'm stuck at work :glugglug

even if you buy it, like i did, you still HAVE to install steam and
register the game through steam, then create an account
and authenticate the key.

it's been about 8 hours for me and i guess I'm almost done,

"registering cd-key with steam"...

fucking shit. wonder if i'll get to play it within the next few days.
