Is there any major companies that have a .net domain?
 

I can't think of any of hand but I'm sure there is. There is a name i want to register but the .com is taken by ultimate search those assholes! I don't want people typing in the .com looking for my site and losing the traffic to them.

easy solution: don't reg a dot net when you don't own the dot com :)

dot nets don't suck - if all you are interested in his type-in's than dot nets do suck but if you're building a real website with real content you don't need the dot com.

look at Nubiles - it's a dot net and he's doing ok. I'd rather build a biz on Nubiles.net THAN youngnubiles.com.

i really like the name though. The name will get no type-ins anyway even the .com so it has to be branded even if it was the .com

.net is fine as long as you develop it well that is what matters...
