is there a way to protect a site with 2 or more .htpasswd files ?

like this :

i want my members from "site a" and "site b" to access the protected members area of "site c" .

No it is not possible (that I know of, I tried to do this a long time ago)

Your best bet would be to share the same password file to sites A, B, and C
