Celexa made me feel really ansy... I didn't feel right. I really didn't like it at all. I take Lexapro for a mixture of anxiety and panic attacks. It's also prescribed for depression. Check this one out. It gives me energy and keeps me pretty even keel without making me feel like a zombie. :2 cents:

many of these drugs are habit forming... it's something you have to consider when you are prescribed them.. However, the doctor will tell you which ones are habit forming before prescribing them.

It's usually things like Ativan that are habit forming, not the xanax, prozac, paxil, etc...

did for me on paxil ... i started controlling my panic attacks naturally, quit paxil, and fucking FLIPPED. the withdrawals from paxil are a fucking nightmare. i had to go back to 20mg even though i dont have attacks anymore. now i have to ween for like 6 months, when i thought i could just stop - its bullshit - i expect a benzo to have withdrawals, or at least psychological dependency - but holy fucking shit - paxil is some nasty shit when you want to get off of it.

I have to agree with you there. I've had 3 or 4 friends that have taken or tried Paxil, and it does interfere (for them at least) with getting an erection.

And you can't just stop taking Paxil, you need to very carefully taper off..but even then, it's no picnic.

Sometimes I think shrinks & the pharmaceutical industry are in bed together to keep people hooked on drugs. Feeling down? Take an anti-depressant..any of them. Fuck the side effects and withdrawl problems.

Feeling anxious..pop a **** (insert your own favorite here).

I do know there are people that badly need to be on anti-depressants and tranqs..it just drives me batty sometimes to hear about 10 year olds being put on an anti-depress because they are "sad". Man..when I was a kid..a lot of times I was feeling sad.

I have a hardon 24 hours a day - just delayed or no nut. while on 40mg paxil ... im weaining now, so at 20 mg i can occasionally get one out. amen, its no picnic. the side effects quitting paxil are horrible.

the shrinks and pharms are definitely in bed - pharm co's schmooze docs with parties, gifts, samples, and they dont want a cure, just like porn, the money is on the rebill.

Apparently if you're on zoloft, no real difficulty with erections but also problems with orgasm, and when you DO, it feels "FUNNY".. sort of un-orgasmic like is the best way I can understand it.
