Anyone ever been to Ikea?
 

I'm taking a ride to Ikea this weekend and was wondering if it will be worth the ride? Anyone like that place?

nice stylish things at IKEA. decent prices too. (not sure of the quality of their things though)

Ikea has some really cool stuff. My glass computer/office desk is from there and a couple rugs as well. Good prices too. :thumbsup

usually very decent quality , we buy things there for years ,and never had any complaints

I like the one near here, its relaxing - a nice big place with hardly anyone around has a good cafe too.

oh, and their furnishings are nice too

the basement is the best place ever

they have everything from cool ice trays to crazy lighting

they are opening one in atlanta next year, i can't wait

An hour and a half to 2 hours each way. It'll give us something to do on Sunday I guess.

They just opened one here, the traffic all around was nuts.

I love Ikea some things are crap and some are pretty good!

It depends on what you're looking for... the furniture is stylish, but it's also made of MDF with laminate faces. One reason why it's so cheap. You're going to assemble it yourself as well, another reason for the cost savings. Just dont plan on ever moving it since it wont sit level or square again if you do.

The bazaar part totally rocks, they've got light fixtures, kitchen gadgets, you name it.

I can get lost in there for hours on end.

There's some nice fancy items there ! and it's a bit cheap ! I worth it !

theyve got nice things got my bed there pretty decent not too expensive... theyve got horrible things too lol plastic yellow chairs etc... make sure you check out the fries and swedish meatballs for 2,99 :)

the IKEA near me is designed so that no matter what you are there to buy, you have to walk through the entire maze of the store to get to the checkout.

Buying a few candles? You can't do it in under 20 minutes.
Need a rug for the john? 1/2 just to get to the carpet section.
Want a lamp? .... ahh you get the picture.

And just don't try assembling anything on your own.
And just don't expect anything you buy to last more than a few months.

I bought my bed there and pounded a few broads on it.. It's holding up well.

Ikea is nice. My new house will be stocked full of stuff from IKEA :)

lol thats true but they have employee shortcuts, you gotta know them, always one at the kitchen section, otherwise itll take you at least 20 mins to get through the whole store hehe

Sounds like a fun place to be at in the case of an emergency or large fire.

Never buy beds or couches from Ikea. I have broken 2 beds in the past 10 years from there. I know I have cockpower but that's just friggin ridiculous~!

The basement is a great place for the extras. Even though this may sound strange it's a great date place overall.

hmm ive got an ikea bed not too bad at all... looked at a hastens once thats one crazy bed if youre in it youll never leave it :) then again its like 15k :(

The fourniture are stylish but are really flimsy.

Ikea is my furniture provider no. 1 :)

IKEA was my first stop a bachelor, I got ton of shit there and looking around now 5 years later all that stuff is gone.

It was pretty funny that you say how long it takes because that store just keeps on going and going, and they appear to be helpful and you get all pumped up looking at stuff but then you can never find someone to help you.

We liked all their office setups and we sat at the planners desk for about 20 minutes and nobody even came by to help.

So, unless you are really handy because you have to put everything together yourself, unless you want to wait a few weeks for the white glove service then forget about it. Also the other funny thing was they have huge cement pilars around the entrance so you cannot get your car to close to unload so you got to carry all this heavy shit to get it home.

This was all down here in San Diego, not sure how other stores work.

Not sure if I would buy furniture ever again, but Ikea is great when hosting a party?where else can you buy wine glasses, silverware and plates for a tad bit more than disposable plastic.
