I SURVIVED a 250 mph typhoon ! ( NEWS )

CNN NEWS REPORT

Typhoon Nanmadol made landfall late Thursday along the northeast coast with sustained winds of up to 185 km/h (115 mph) and gusts of up to 220 km/h (138 mph).

I was out in Sabang Beach and had to come into mainland Manila ! it was the craziest thing I have ever experienced ! It was raining so hard I could not see 2 feet in front of my face !

I managed to save a few people before saving myself ! My camera and equipment is still drying out so I will post some pictures later !

Coming back in on a 20 foot pontoon boat was a lot different than being on a boat in Lake Havasu !

There is nothing like narrowly avoiding a typhoon to really get the blood pumping.

Richard - Triplexcash 12-02-2004 10:19 PM

You will find out what LBFM is in Angeles City, no problem!

The plan was to go surfing at Charlie's Point !

Famous for being the setting for the surfing scenes in Francis Ford Coppola's film, Apocalypse Now, Charlie's point is known for medium-quality right and left breakwaves on sand/gravel bottom. The waves are best from December to January. The place is within walking distance from Baler town proper, north of Sabang Beach.

After the movie they left 20 surf boards there !

SL|M! 12-03-2004 02:43 AM
