Would PHP be replaced by another language?

Im pretty sure it will, just like everything else but i dont see it happening soon.

I don't see how it can get much simpler... unless you start writing your stuff in Java (which i'd gladly do if not for idiotic jsp interface)

I agree with Motto. I used to use Coldfusoin all the time during the dotcom boom years.

There is always a chance PHP will be replaced by something easier or more powerful but at this point it doesn't look like it will be happening any time soon. PHP is damn easy at this point and is powerful as hell considering it is kept maintained.

I think PHP is as easy as it can get!

Python is not to bad. I have played around with it.

i fucking hope not. i do all my coding currently in PHP, so i would be fucked!
