BellSouth DSL Business Plus
BellSouth has a new business service called DSL Plus that bumps your speed up to 3mbs. Double their regular DSL speed which runs 1mbs to 1.5mbs typically.
And its only $10 extra a month. :thumbsup |
So whats the total monthly cost?

question is... i mean 10 bucks a more, can't beat that. But do you really need the extra speed?

A lot of workers sit there streaming music into winamp and stuff like that so it helps relieve the traffic congestion when too many of your staff are doing that. |
then in your case.. go for it. :winkwink:
|

Bellsouth has offered this service for home or business for over six months- it's called BellSouth FastAccess DSL Xtreme ? 3 Mb down/384 Kbs up. I'm uploading huge video files for clients right now thru ftp , and yes, it's worth the small increase in price if you use it a lot.

Up here in NJ we have the comcast cable commercial package, they give us 5 ip address's, 5 mbps down and 512k up and a router/firewall this thing rocks, all for the heafty price of $95
:thumbsup |
whats the difference between the business service and the home service? I've had the extreme upgrade for a few months now.
|
damn you all, i have comcast cable for $59 and i have 4 Mbps/384 Kbps
plus i got the first 3 months for $19 a month bellsouth sucked when I tried it, it dropped ALL the time, and they blamed it on me...but when it fact it was a connection of theirs in the area..i can't count the amount of fights I had on the phone with bellsouth techs |

yeah i think your right about the connections and the reliablity it all comes down to where you live and your situation. I also think the $89 is for the business dsl lines. i have home service and only pay $49 for the 3mbps.. I wonder what the difference is |
I have 10mbps up and down .. oh wait, that's my server :glugglug

http://www.bredband.com/en/ It's great :) The basic service is 10Mbps without the 300GB limit. 100Mbps is an addon on that for another ~$30. :2 cents: DSL here these days is ADSL2. 24Mbit down, 1 Mbps up. :winkwink: |
