Cable Modem or DSL?
 

Which do you prefer? Which do you find better.

I myself use Cable, but a lot of people are pushing the DSL at me. What do you think?

dsl upstream is way faster here

cable is way faster here... but if you have a heap of leeching whores all on the same exchange it can slow down ya cable speeds...

dsl may be faster on upload but my cable dl's at 450 kb dsl cant compare

Been using cable for years and its always been fast.

i use verizon dsl 1.5 download and 384k upload

cost me $29.99 a month

i use a DSL connection here

Cable. It's always been faster whereever I live.

Depends what you use it for, If you need upload speeds DSL is better.
Otherwise Cable is the choice.

From where we are I say stick with the Cable.

DSL is big shit ! Get a cable modem for sure ! I use it for years and no problems, and I always heard my budies complaning about their DSL !

I tried Cable for a little bit, but it's HORRIBLE here, and latencies suck ass

I used both, and I prefer DSL.

DSL, I found cable to not be as reliable as DSL (over here in Holland that is the case)

Go with Cable I get 7mb a sec here for $30 a month

Applies to most places - Plus it is easier to get fixed IPs on DSL.

I got 3mbps over a cable modem here in Philly, totally fucking kicks ass. The DSL that verizon offered sucked when I had it...... :pimp

I prefer cable myself.

I have tried both and found DSL to be a lot more stable for me. 0 downtime other than a phone line outage. I have DSL Extreme and get like 3mbps down and 384 Bbps up. No problems and no outages.
