Movies of 1500kbps for galleries ?

Streaming at 1500kbps, way to high quality to be giving out in galleries, not to mention the size of the file will really burn up the bandwidth.

no.. 1.7mb.. 10 sec. .mpg.. The only thing on my mind is if people will be able to play that on their machine.. at least the majority that have a computer powerful enough to join a movie site to start with... That's the target crowd.. (p.s. dont worry about me giving too much... :winkwink: )

Don't worry about it, most people surfing movie galleries have high speed and pretty recent computers.
My old 486 90mhz from a few years ago could play them with no problem.

Really? My old 486 couldn't even play mp3s.

I'm confused, what would cause people to be able NOT to play these movies? As long as they can download it they can play it, can't they?

I submitted a gallery once with 720 x 480 1.5 MBS clips and alot of TGP sites declined it. Some said movies loaded to slow (i assume because they are used to the smaller res/br clips) as well as some of the TGP scripts declined just because of the file size was too large without even viewing them.

we offer this size in our members area and I thought it would be a good idea to show them what they get on the gallery, too bad

I guess if your machine is not powerful enough... the movie might be choppy...

xxx: why would you wanna stream 1500 ? and are you really talking streaming or just putting ASFs on a webserver ?
