Latest death figures of Tsunami
From CNN as reported to them by various countries.
146,000 confirmed dead (The found the bodies). Over 200,000 confirmed missing in all 59 countries affected by the tsunami (Feared washed to sea, buried by mud, or obliterated). Estimates 1/3 of all missing/dead are children under 10. Fucked up eh? The hardest hit was NOT india, it was the Baldive Islands, where almost 75% of all the people were killed out of about 40,000 population. |
34 Americans confirmed dead
over 1,400 confirmed missing |
So freaking sad we will never know the complete number because a lot of people just got swallowed by the sea and earth
|
That is an extremely tragic number :(
|
:( :( :( :(

So is the 200,000 missing a separate number than the 145,000 dead? Meaning it's likely 345,000 are dead? or are the dead part of that missing number? So it's likely there are about a total of 200,000 dead?
|
This has got to be the worst natural disaster of human history?
|
that's insane.
|
Yes it has been officially listed as the worst natural disaster ever in human history.
that was 140k dead confirmed and 200k missing confirmed. Meaning around 350k people dead and or missing and unaccounted for. Whats sad is that we had 2500 die in the world trade centers and we as USA came up with almost 3 BILLION dollars in "relief" money. Yet the latest figures show that the USA citizens have raised a measly 4 million dollars so far for this disaster. |
